About this property

Set in heart of Burryport, a little harbour town in South Wales, is this delightful holiday cottage known as Coeden Bach. A lovely base for friends and family who are looking for somewhere comfortable to retreat to after enjoying the attractions of the area. Internally, the cottage boasts a contemporary finish which you will immediately notice when entering the kitchen, kitted out a choice of high-spec appliances and a dining table for mealtimes. Wander on through into the cosy sitting room for an evening of relaxation on the sofa, with the added bonus of a woodburning stove if the weather turns a bit cold. In warmer times, with the patio doors opening directly from the kitchen on to the rear patio area, it all becomes very light and airy, and with a G&T in hand it is the perfect place to enjoy the mild climate. Why not enjoy a dip in the hot tub for the perfect way to round off your evening? There are three bedrooms at this Burry Port cottage, one of which is a king-size double with en-suite shower room, a double, and twin on the ground floor, ideal for those with limited mobility. You are perfectly placed for enjoying all that this superb area has to offer, with the coastline of Carmarthen Bay stretching in both directions and the fantastic Pembrey Country Park just 2.5 miles away. Burry Port itself is a popular spot for visitors with a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. For those feeling active, the Millennium Coastal Path is just a mile from Coeden Bach, and offers 22km of off-road cycle-track amidst breath-taking scenery, whilst the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park) houses a network of walks further afield. Cottage is superb and beautifully furnished. Matt and Dawn are always on hand to solve any problems.

Constructive criticism would be that the extraction fans in the bathrooms are very loud and stay on for an excessive period which does impact on sleep. Upgrade of the pillows on bed (main bedroom) would add comfort as currently not very comfortable. Otherwise a lovely property offering all required.

Came for our little boys 1st birthday and it was just made so stress free: high chair , baby gates and cot bed all provided. Hosts were lovely kind people who made us feel very welcome and helped us set up the cot bed. Hot tub very clean, checked in the early mornings but you wouldn't know because they do it do quietly as to disturb you. A couple of board games are provided in the living room and there is a fire grate in the downstairs bedroom to keep little fingers away from a nice hot fire on a cold night. Basics of tea, coffee, milk, dish washer tabs provided on arrival but if you need anything or you intend on self catering, Co-op is a 2 minute walk away, or there's a large ASDA 15minutes away. For eateries we tried the local coffee shop which did some delicious sandwiches... also try the local bakery. All in all I love this house and I can't wait to return. Fiona, Rob, Owen and Tyson
