"We stayed in Cupids Lodge 4 for 3 nights over a weekend in February 2018. The location was superb, very secluded amongst stunning countryside. Our lodge was very private and not overlooked, plus the hot tub area had willow around the balcony to preserve more privacy. We really loved going in the hot tub early evening, amongst the trees and were able to see all the stars due to the low light pollution. When we arrived the guy on front desk was very helpful and could recommend local attractions and places to eat. There was nowhere to eat on site, which we were not aware of before arriving, but we bought some food locally from Chipping Norton to cook in our lodge. The nearest pub was a drive away so we found it easier to eat lunch out and then retreat to our lodge for the evening. The only negatives we had were: no dressing gowns (which would be nice for entering and exiting the hot tub on such cold evenings!) and that the hot tub was right behind where our bedroom was and so you could hear the pump when going to sleep which was a little disappointing for myself as I had to put my ear plugs in. Other than that our break was just what we needed and would highly recommend if you want to escape."

"We loved the lodge and our stay but there were a few issues that could be addressed. The bedroom pillows need replacing entirely - we did get new ones on request but ideally, all of the pillows should be plump and fluffy. The original ones were like pancakes and very lumpy and uncomfortable. I would also recommend replacing the chest of drawers in the bedroom as it's soiled and unsightly. And some serious dusting is required behind the televisions. The shower was the main gripe - the drain did not work so we ended up standing in our own dirty water and it overflowed to the floor, soaking the mat - we needed towels to mop it up. Also, please provide extra towels as one doesn't want to use the same towel to dry off from the hot tub as shower. Not hygienic. On the positive, we loved the kitchen, the living area and size and quite of the place. The best part which I'm sure is everyones, was the hot tub. It was clean and hot and worked perfectly. The info book was also very good with lots of helpful tips on things to do and places to eat/drink. The staff were excellent and friendly so I'd definitely give a big thumbs up to them."

"Bed was comfy. Stain on the bedding. Needed to hoover under the bed as lots of dust/dirt.Toilet was lose on the wall fixture. Skirting board behind toilet/next to shower was rotten and needed replacing. Seemed to have been an issue with bathroom drainage as sink/bath/shower took a while to empty. Bath shower head clip was broken so this had to be hung round the taps.Water temperature very hit and miss.Light switches that were dimmers but didn't dim/had no turning fixture. Fully equipped kitchen which isn't documented enough - this is a vey rare thing to find so market this more! Useful to have a washing machine and dryer, even for a short stay.Liked the waste/recycling bins, as you usually only have a household waste option. Didn't use the sauna unfortunately. We arrived around 4pm in the winter so it was dark, would have been nice to arrive to an outside light on. The steps were very slippy, and I dropped the key which took a while to find in the dark."

"The lodge was spacious and the central heating keeps it nice and cosy. The downsides...The mattress on the bed is well past it's sell by date and has no central support . It's like sleeping on a steep hill. The sofa in the living/sleeping area is also shot. Oh and it's not clear from the website that it's a combined living and sleeping room.Parking space is tiny. The private hot tub is 5ft from the road with precious little privacy. The kitchen is a good size but a little more effort with the quality and range of utensils would add a luxury feel. The welcome pack was really just the hospitality basket you get at a chain hotel... minus the biscuits. I actually laughed out loud. At expensive price I expected more."

" The cottage itself was fantastic and easily catered for our party of 6 adults. We really appreciated all of the facilities and in particular the huge kitchen diner and patio area. This served us well for the private chef we arranged who has everything they needed to create a wonderful meal for us. If we had one small niggle it would be the lack of a shower over the bath on the top floor otherwise the property was excellent "
