What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Gale Douthwaite - Verified booking

A stunning cottage with everything you could want and more. The owners had really thought of everything and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. It really was a touch of luxury and was the best pet friendly cottage we have ever stayed, and just proves that because people have pets you don’t have to have lower standards. We would recommend this cottage to anyone and we also can highly recommend North Norfolk, a truly beautiful place with some of the best beaches in UK. Thanks for a memorable stay. This cottage company was very easy to use and has such a high standard of properties. It was the fist time we used them but will not be the last. North Norfolk is a lovely quaint place full of nostalgia and the beaches are just beautiful especially Holkham. If you have pets it is a very dog friendly place. We will be back. A beautiful cottage with everything top rate. A true touch of luxury and best pet friendly cottage we have ever stayed. Cannot rate it highly enough.

We booked this bungalow to have a break away during the Easter Holidays.

The bungalow was very clean, fully equipped and well presented and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the outside space due to the wet weather. It would have been helpful to have had the instructions readily available for the oven and dishwasher at the beginning of our stay. We found these on our last day in the side board draw in the lounge! We felt the single bed mattresses could do with replacing they were very springy, squeaky and not that comfortable. To aid with recycling, another bin in kitchen would have been useful to separate general waste from recyclable waste. Apart from these, we enjoyed our stay, the property was well located for visiting attractions in the local area and we would stay again and recommend this property to others.

Sandy Bottom suited us perfectly. We are a couple in our 70s with a Black Lab and were looking for something a little different .The bungalow was really comfortable, cosy and in a quiet location just a short walk from the stunning beach. Everything was neat tidy and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with cutlery, crockery and white goods. The owner has taken a lot of care to make it a real home from home . The information folder had lots of useful information about eating, shopping and interesting things to do.The welcome basket of goodies on arrival was a lovely touch with some essential items and a special treat. We had a stunning week with exceptional weather for March - a great holiday break.

Woodpecker is situated within a beautiful looking new build estate with parking to the side of the property (for 2 vehicles) and side entrance gate to a very secure and private garden.

There is a small field / nature area just a 3 minute walk from the property - advisable to keep your dog on a lead as there are ducks - also found charmingly waddling around the estate - and deer in the woods. Woodpecker is perfectly situated within easy reach of many attractions and is well kept and clean with with good facilities in the property. Comfort in the property is generally really good although we personally found the beds to be a little soft and the corner suite in the living room ‘dipped’ on some of the seating cushions. We appreciated the welcome pack on arrival which was very thoughtful. Overall, this is a great place to stay, very cosy, homely and in a lovely peaceful area.

Woodpecker was a very comfortable and clean property with all the features I enjoy in my own home.

The enclosed garden was a bonus when taking my Black Lab. Woodpecker has South facing back garden, making it a sun trap and is not overlooked at all. The owners have put a lot of thought into what visitors are looking for. It is very quiet in the new estate, and located excellent for visiting a beautiful area. With superb Sandy beaches. We enjoy our stay very much. Minor point to make: The vacuum cleaner was completely blocked so I had to completely clean and service this before using. Thank you to the owners for giving us a lovely holiday.. I would rate Woodpecker 10 out of 10 a home from home place to stay with plenty of parking. David H.

As well as the penguin beach, you can see insects and creepy crawlies at Rainforest Ranger basecamp, then walk through the ocean tunnel and see a huge variety of sea creatures. It is mostly wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly. Toilets and a cafe.
