Peacock cottage is well equipped. The kitchen, in particular, is spacious and the sitting room and the bedrooms are comfortable if slightly smaller. The only significant iinternal issue is the staircase which is quite steep with relatively narrow treads. I have size 11 feet and I am a little unsteady so I was particularly careful to place my feet especially coming downstairs. The only place to sit outside is in the small front garden space between the cottage and the roadside. The road is very quiet so this is not a major problem and it is a pleasant warm place to sit in the evening. However, there is nowhere for kids to play. The parking is a couple of minutes drive away. We have used this facility on a number of previous visits and have never had any problems. It is worth noting that there is a footpath between the allotment car park and the top of Peacock Lane so it only takes 10 minutes of so to walk to and fro.

This is a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. The living room with the wood burner is a beautiful place to be on a winter's day. However considering it was the Christmas week I was particularly disappointed with the lack of a welcome pack - there was just a bottle of wine and a pint of milk. I've stayed in lots of cottages and this is something that really makes you think the person has thought about you and what you may need. They made no effort at all to think about the week and what we may need. There was no wood for the wood burner and not even a note to welcome us to the cottage. I wouldn't go back sadly.

A very well presented cottage in a lovely location just a few minutes from the high street. It was great having the allocated parking, even though it was 5 mins walk away, as parking is difficult in the narrow streets. The small courtyard was lovely to sit out in during the evenings. We should point out that there is no dining table at the property so unless you are eating in the courtyard you have to sit on bar stools at the island unit which isn’t that comfortable for any length of time. Also, if you are 6 foot or more you will not fit under the shower head in the ground floor bathroom!

Absolutely fabulous cottage. Perfect location, extremely well done and thoughtfully equipped. The welcome pack was such a nice treat and unexpected. Had everything you need, iron/board, lovely soft towels, soap, dishwasher, washing machine, cleaning stuff, toilet rolls, blankets, all condiments and storage stuff. Ice in the freezer, dog treats, dog bowls, dog towel - they even had a stair gate! The location is perfect. Gorgeous little front and back courtyard garden. If I could give 7 stars, I would. The owners were incredibly helpful and responsive with any questions. Thank you

Had a lovely time in this cottage which is extremely well-placed in the middle of Holt, and very comfortable despite its size - the kitchen is especially spacious for such a small cottage. Having to park the car further away was a bit awkward, but when you consider the central location its a reasonable trade-off and being right in the middle of Holt there was less need to use it anyway - we were able to visit the North Norfolk railway and the nearby Country park on foot without using the car (although the railway in particular was quite a hike!)
