What our customers say about their holidays

    • Matt - Verified booking

The property is very centrally situated, even in this relatively small market town.

It is set behind a pub, which can get noisy in the evening with their beer garden a few feet from the front door of the property. The front/main bedroom is also opposite a street lamp which is very bright (although does get switched off later until early morning again. The parking is great - do get the side alley key from the cottage before you unload your car, as it makes it a much shorter journey! The cottage is well equipped, but recommend on bringing your own 'essentials' like milk - we stay in a lot of these properties and it is often hard to predict what will be provided as a 'welcome' pack, and you can assume very little here, which is fine if you know that. We found the provision of dishwasher tablets (a couple), washing machine powder/tablets (none) and toilet paper (not enough to last us (2 adults) the week) was sub-optimal, so again, be aware of that and plan ahead. Food highlight was the mobile pizza van - order on line and pick up from the very-near-by centre of town. Indigo indian was ok. Angie's cafe did a great breakfast with some friendly banter thrown in too. We had a great stay and this really is a wonderful location for long walks and town shopping.

Excellent location, comfortable house, very well presented / decorated giving a stylish welcome. A few pointers for improvement : *Apple box disconnected from TV - cleaner needs to check before guests arrive * Heating difficult to control. * Shared bathroom - not up to the standard the property promises. Need larger sink, proper shower, not one over the bath, very difficult to avoid water from a shower coming over the bath. Suggest dividing the bathroom in 2 ( a window in each part ) with door from end bedroom into one part (making end bedroom en suite ) with the other part accessed from landing as at present. The current sink could move left to be under the window, both bathrooms to have a medium sized shower. The house has a bath anyway in the current en suite. Cost would be 2 showers, one toilet and one sink - plumbing costs too, but improvements would provide a much better facility for the 2 bedrooms it serves. * Dining room - a great room but rather echoey - suggest blinds / fabric at the windows to absorb the noise. Would also add warmth in the winter.

A beautiful house, very well resourced, beautifully furnished and comfortable. Slept 8 really comfortably. A lovely welcome box of essentials awaited us, including a bottle of wine. Added bonus was an electric car charging point…..having an electric car, I can’t tell you how much that helped! My 5 yr old grandson came looking for me, he said…..there’s a thousand doors in this house 😂😂♥️ (he’s not far off the truth)! I have family in Eardisley so visit quite often. Having stayed in 4 other self catering houses in and around Eardisley, I can say hand on heart it’s by far the nicest. One small point to note, there were quite a few flies in the house, but being in the country this is to be expected. Would definitely stay here again ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Faultless accommodation of a very high standard with so much room we were able, as a family, to find quiet corners and to come together for meals, games and conversations with ease. The little flat was perfect for extra privacy but we all fell in love with the kitchen and enjoyed cooking on the fabulous range. And two baths to disappear into, book in hand. Best of all was the location. Lots of manageable walks on the door step, a singular and friendly local cafe *** bookshop *** post office *** pub close by, as well as another shop too. We spent time in Hay and Hereford and the local farm shop at Oak Church Farm and would book again if available over Christmas Would thoroughly recommend.
