What our customers say about their holidays

    • Sara - Verified booking

Wow, wow, wow, this is luxury, stunning and super comfortable accommodation!

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying in the Granary at Boskensoe. It ticked all the boxes for us parents, our 9-year-old son and his grandmother. Firstly, the two-storey converted barn is spacious, beautifully appointed and decorated, and clean! It has comfy beds, plenty of fluffy towels and bathrobes! It has all the mod cons (Neff appliances, ovens, dishwasher, Bosch washer and dryer, Samsung Smart TVs in every room, and built-in sound system). The kitchen and utility contain everything you could need to cook, bake and do laundry. Maybe the only things missing were a pair of oven gloves and a coffee espresso machine. We made great use of the Webber BBQ, and daily use of the large hot tub, which was sparkling clean (the owner changes the water and cleans between rentals). Plus we could charge our electric car FOC. The Granary is situated on a working farm (very little noise, a bit of cow mooing), with stunning views across the Cornish countryside. The village offers a grocery shop, pub, coffee shop and a gorgeous gifts and interiors shop called the Oyster Catcher. Nearby, there is so much to see and do. We went out exploring every day to new locations - travelling between 5 - 30 minutes. There are also plenty of great places to eat, such as The Cove at Maenporth and Hocked on the Rocks at Swanpool, both of which are minutes away. We would love to return and have another wonderful stay. This was our 4th Cornish holiday in a rental property, and The Granary has been by far the best place we have stayed. It really was just perfect.

Initially when we arrived we were taken back by how lovely the environment and the area of the cottage was in.

However it then came to light that you were not allowed to leave your pets in the cottage unattended, which was not on the listing (had it of been we would have booked elsewhere) We found the whole experience intrusive with the lack of privacy and the handyman/ owners mate (so he says) interpreting our stay most days. The property gives a feel that it is being run like a hotel and that is not what we were looking for. On the 3rd Night another party arrived to stay in the adjacent cottage and that was the straw that broke the camels back, they where in the rear of their cottage in the early hours shouting laughing and very drunk, waking us up at 0300am and not going quite until gone 0530am. This made us realise how close the other property’s were to us and again this was not mentioned in the listing. We left earlier because we could not stay there anymore because of the fore mentioned issues. All I can say if you want a nice place to stay that’s a slightly nicer environment than Butlin’s then book here your love it. I will not be going back.

For a start the holiday cottages were well sign posted!

Cottage was spotelsless and some biscuits for our dog and cake tea coffee etc was a nice touch on arrival. Everything you need was there. Although the air conditioning took a bit of working out it was a great addition and would cool or heat the cottage up very quickly. There was a walking area for my dog and lots of thought has gone into this site including outside showers for humand and dogs!!!!! Maintenance guys were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool saunas and hot tubs are a genuis addition which is why we chose these cottages. Nice and warm too ! Again very well maintained and very clean. Ample parking even if you cant park outside your own accommodation and literally only a minute away. Struggled to find any negatives too be honest. The saunas etc are open at 8.30am to 6pm and if they could open a little bit earlier and a little bit later that would be really useful but thats just based on us. Would definitely stay again and looking to bring the family back later in the year.

Lovely cottage, absolutely spotlessly clean on arrival.

Thoughtful touches of a goody bag of treats for us and treats for our Westie. Everything you could need for a self catering holiday but there are a few things which could be improved upon. Not enough hanging space for clothes and the size of the drawers in the chest of drawers in the bedrooms were not of a good size for storing clothes in. Only good enough for socks, underwear etc. Internal doors need oiling as very squeaky. Nowhere in bathroom to place items. Didn’t really want to place them on the toilet and surrounding area. Not very hygienic. Just a couple of extra shelves would be great. Wash basin was way too small as you could not fill it with a lot of water as it spilt over the side and onto the floor. Boiler system noisy. Would recommend family and friends to stay here without any doubt. Treesoth Cottages is a great location very quiet and peaceful and ideally located for visiting other areas in Cornwall.

The Granary at Boskensoe Barns is just a place of dreams!

Just as good as the pictures if not better. When we arrived there was a little welcome tray with a whole array of lovely treats. Tea/coffee and milk was onsite too which is a really nice touch. Being able to use the electric charger for our car was brilliant, the ipads around the house for music was just amazing and the hot tub was huge and wonderful. Then even more so the bed was super comfortable and the bedding just of such luxury quality! We slept so well. Overall we didn't want to leave at all, we had a great stay and will definitely be back! Location wise was great too. It was a short walk into Mawnan Smith which has a great local shop, a brilliant coffee shop and a great pub. Then only 15minutes away from Falmouth, and the beaches around so close to the place are gorgeous. 100% recommend that you book to stay here!
