Guests have praised Tresooth Cottages for its cleanliness, comfort, and friendly staff. The rural setting is appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to Falmouth. The well-equipped cottages with thoughtful touches, including treats, contribute to a pleasant stay. The communal facilities, such as the hot tub, sauna, and games room, add to the enjoyment, although minor maintenance issues were noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property has been consistently described as very clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating high standards are maintained.

The location is praised for being peaceful and ideal for visiting Cornwall, with easy access to Falmouth, suggesting a very good location.

Guests found the beds big and comfy, and the presence of en-suites added to the comfort. However, some mentioned limited storage space and a noisy boiler, slightly detracting from the overall comfort.

The facilities, including a pool, games room, and communal hot tub, are well-received. Some minor maintenance issues like squeaky doors and a problematic blind were mentioned, indicating room for improvement.

While guests appreciated the goody bag of treats, as there is no guarantee such gifts will be provided to all guests, it is not possible to score this category accurately.

About this property

Manacles is a delightful two bedroom stone property, converted from the old dairy barn of the original Tresooth Farm. Set in the central courtyard, Manacles is ideal for up to four guests and two pets looking to experience the attractions of Cornwall. After a day of walking, the open-plan living space will welcome your return, complete with ample seating so you can enjoy a sit down and catch up on the TV. When hunger sets in, move over the kitchen and utilise the electric oven and gas hob in preparing a delicious meal, whilst the dishwasher will come in handy for washing up. Whisk away to either of the bedrooms, one with a superking bed, one with twin beds (which could also be a superking), both with en-suite shower facilities, so there's no need to queue in the morning! Look forward to a charming stay at Manacles, perfect for accessing the delights of Cornwall in any season.

Mawnan Smith is a charming tiny village that is situated close to the mouth of the Helford River in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a few stores, a chapel, a restaurant, and a traditional tavern. There are several creekside and forest walks in the area, as well as subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah, making it ideal for ramblers. Along with fishing, the Helford River also provides chances for sailing and kayaking. The National Marine Museum, a variety of shops and restaurants, and the surrounding maritime town of Falmouth make it a well-liked vacation destination. Another option is to take the ferry from Helford Passage to Helford Village and tour the charming South Helford. From Falmouth to Truro, Enterprise Boats offers cruises up the River Fal, passing various oceangoing vessels that anchor in the river as well as famous nautical sites and landmarks.

We enjoyed our break and have come home refreshed. Thank you Tresooth.

Thoughtful touches of a goody bag of treats for us and treats for our Westie. Everything you could need for a self catering holiday but there are a few things which could be improved upon. Not enough hanging space for clothes and the size of the drawers in the chest of drawers in the bedrooms were not of a good size for storing clothes in. Only good enough for socks, underwear etc. Internal doors need oiling as very squeaky. Nowhere in bathroom to place items. Didn’t really want to place them on the toilet and surrounding area. Not very hygienic. Just a couple of extra shelves would be great. Wash basin was way too small as you could not fill it with a lot of water as it spilt over the side and onto the floor. Boiler system noisy. Would recommend family and friends to stay here without any doubt. Treesoth Cottages is a great location very quiet and peaceful and ideally located for visiting other areas in Cornwall.

The jacuzzi/sauna/pool/games room are great if you just want to hang out. The cottage is clean and well equipped - having 2 en-suites made life easier. Location is easy to find and makes a good base for getting to Falmouth. Staff were friendly and insightful when it came to info.
