About this property

Seaglass is a delightful escape perched in the charming seaside village of Flamborough, along the East Riding of Yorkshire coast. This pretty and thoughtfully styled retreat is perfect for couples seeking a traditional, character-filled getaway just moments from dramatic cliffs, scenic walks, and the refreshing sea breeze. Upon entering, you’ll be welcomed by a warm and inviting open-plan living space, where the kitchen, dining area, and sitting room blend seamlessly to create a comfortable and functional environment. The electric fire adds a gentle glow to the room, while the Smart TV provides entertainment for quiet evenings in. Though intimate in size, the space is cleverly designed to include everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Unique touches like handcrafted lamps made from beachcombed treasures and reclaimed wood from the original cottage structure give Seaglass its distinctive charm and character. Upstairs, the bespoke king-size bed, crafted from original timbers, is the centrepiece of the cosy bedroom. It’s a tranquil haven for catching your night's rest, full of warmth and personality. A lovely window seat offers a quaint spot to read, sip your morning coffee, or simply watch the world go by. While there’s no toilet upstairs, the stylish ground-floor shower room is just a few steps away and features a walk-in shower with a handheld option, all finished to a high standard.

Outside, the enclosed front garden provides a private and pretty space to unwind. The patio and sheltered seating area make it easy to enjoy the fresh air, whether you're basking in the morning sun or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. Seaglass Cottage is ideally located for exploring the natural beauty and rich history of the Yorkshire coast. From cliff-top walks and wildlife spotting at Flamborough Head to day trips to nearby Bridlington, Filey, and Scarborough, there’s plenty to discover. Local pubs, cafés, and shops are within easy reach, adding to the convenience and charm of your stay.

Seaglass Cottage welcomes two for an escape in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1173380, sleeping together up to 4 guests.

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington. Housing traditional fishermen's cottages and a small selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Flamborough also has much to offer the rambler, historian and birdwatcher. There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. To the north of the village, the magnificent 400 feet high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England. Discover the puffins at Bempton, follow the fascinating natural trails at South Landing and the wooded ravine at Danes Dyke, or explore the smugglers’ caves at North Landing. Enjoy a spot of fishing or a boat trip to explore the sea caves. Flamborough Head is a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys beautiful coastal scenery and bracing sea air.
