Russet is a romantic hideaway enjoying a private and peaceful location within a sheep grazed orchard and sharing its surroundings with another holiday property, Greengage (E4424). The accommodation is all on one level, has an open plan layout and includes a wood burner in the lounge and picturesque views from its patio. Skipsea’s sandy beach, two pubs, a restaurant and shops are just under a mile, and the local leisure park’s gym and indoor swimming pool are two miles.
Further up the coast there are the traditional seaside resorts of Bridlington and Scarborough. Bempton Cliffs bird reserve is well worth a visit where you will see puffins, guillemots and seals in their natural habitat. It’s a perfect base to see what Yorkshire has to offer from the North York Moors to the east coast and The Wolds there’s so much to see and do. York, Scarborough and Pickering are about an hour’s drive. Sledmere House is just one of many stately homes you can visit as well as Sewerby Hall and Burton Agnes Hall, all close by. For evening entertainment there’s plenty in Bridlington with The Spa hosting International shows all year round.

Everything was ok. We were given a very generous welcome pack. The place was very clean and we had all we needed for our break and it was like being at home. It was in very peaceful surrounding and very accessible to many walks around the area.One small feedback is to have some USB and normal plugs installed around the cottage.

Warm welcome. Unbelievable space.Everything you need for a lovely stay. Set is a quiet country lane, with private parking. Just a couple of miles from cosy pub( Tiger Inn)doing wonderful meals, local shop nearby for anything you need. Ideal base for anyone into walking or cycling and we found places of interest to visit.
