The Hen House is one of two beautifully converted cottages and can be found tucked away behind the main residence in the heart of the charming Yorkshire Wolds village of Kilham; just a short drive from the traditional seaside town of Bridlington. Ideal for two couples or a small family wishing for a peaceful getaway.

The living area offers comfortable sofas, a perfect spot for a romantic night in in front of the wood burner whilst enjoying your favourite holiday movie on the flatscreen TV, the country style kitchen is a delight, offering a host of modern appliances including an electric oven, hob and dishwasher. There are plenty of cupboards for storage of your holiday essentials and work top space for preparing a picnic to enjoy on the beach. The dining table sits to one side. Here you can enjoy a hearty Yorkshire breakfast or a delicious home cooked evening meal. Leading off from the living area is the master bedroom with comfortable kingsize bed and wet room shower en-suite. Step outside and The Hen House offers an enclosed gravel garden with simply lovely views across the Yorkshire Wolds. The garden seating is perfectly placed to enjoy the morning sun rise or for an al fresco glass of wine after a long day exploring.
A short walk will bring you to the local village pub. Kilham is the ideal base from which to enjoy this area both on foot or by bike; there are miles of cycle routes and footpaths to explore. And the seaside town of Bridlington has two glorious sandy beaches and a long Victorian promenade. The stately homes of Burton Agnes, Sledmere House and Sewerby Hall are all within a short drive. The ancient walled City of York and the history seaport of Whitby are also under an hours drive away. With something for everyone this exceptional holiday home is perfect for your Yorkshire holiday. Loverly perfectly formed get away.Very comfy bed sofa was a little low for us due to my disability but would be great for anyone else. Great value for money our hosts were very helpful. Will strongly consider rebooking for same time next year.

First of all the place was immaculate, comfortable and just what we wanted. The hosts were pleasant courteous and engaging. The layout and easy parking a real bonus. Although deep in the quietness of the Wolds several easy and breathtakingly beautiful country roads take you quickly to major highways.All in all a great place for a quiet get-away.
