"When we booked, this property had a bath. Whilst it now has an amazing power shower, we were not informed the bath was no longer an option. We were supposed to be a party of 5 adults. However there were only 4 of us and at times we found it quite tight spacewise. We like to cook whilst on holiday. However we found the facilities quite limiting with 3 saucepans, 3 Pyrex dishes and a few very non-non-stick frying pan - pleased we took our own frying pan. The oven door handle got extremely hot and we would be concerned for child/dog safety. Also the dishwasher did not dispense the tablet as it should. As there is street parking, we were asked by a resident to move 1 of our cars so she could park hers. There is no direct parking outside Wee Manly. An indication as to where to park would be helpful. Unfortunately the weather was not good enough to sit out but we wouldn’t have chosen to in the back garden as it wasn’t pleasant with 4 bins, a bit of rough ground and a clothes drier. We did have some lovely walks and whilst there was plenty of information about in the house, there was no specific welcome pack, just the visitor book and a calendar telling us when the binmen came. Karen, the caretaker, was very welcoming and available by text which was helpful. We thanked her for her help. As we had an extra dog, we did hoover round during our holiday."

"This cottage is a wonderful find for anyone. It is immaculate and is the best equipped self catering cottage I have ever stayed in. There is literally nothing you will need that they don’t have. The hosts have been super considerate, making lots of little touches which just make your stay relaxed and stress free. Like extension leads when plugs weren’t as easy to access, a stair gate to keep little people safe, binoculars to enjoy the stunning views. They also left a little basket of goodies which reflected the guests in our group. Adults, a toddler and a dog. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. The location is stunning. I watched dolphins playing out the large living room windows. Just magical. Visiting the lighthouse 3 miles away is a must. Two wee things to note. One bring ear plugs, the seagulls are a noisy bunch. But if you don’t live near the sea like us, a welcome novelty. Watch out when parking the Neighbour to the right hand side of the cottage if you are standing facing the front door is very protective of his parking spaces. I parked a little over one night (my carelessness) and the next day he put out a barrier. There are two comfortable spaces so just be aware. (Everyone else we spoke were super friendly and welcoming). Would 100% recommend Seashells."

"A two notable oversights by the owners, which were to my knowledge are either resolved or in the process of. 1. Heating with air in radiators and placed on 30c at in winter maybe effective enough to stop damp, but isn't viable option to live in happily even with the benefit of a single coal/wood burning fire. Took us a while (2-3days) to understand the issue and resolve. Which the owners we good enough to arrange portable oil heating. This matter was fully resolved at the time of our stay, and I can say the systems for heating and water when working are more than adequate :-) 2. A florescent tube in the rear passageway had been reported previously and not replaced. At the time of us leaving the maid brought a replacement tube, but when fitted the starter still required replacement, but with the owners reportedly stay next at Drummuie House, there the opportunity for them issue to be resolved."

"The cottage was big and spacious, and the lady who takes care of the property was lovely and helpful. We felt that the cottage was particularly dated and in need of a real deep clean, much of the fixtures were coming to the end of their life potentially and the cottage was not particularly well equipped compared to others we have stayed in.Suggestions - more glasses / children's plastic plates and cups / please fence of and secure part of the lovely large garden, as we couldn't use it safely with 3 kids under 5 / Some info and leaflets about the local area and attractions was sorely missed...we couldn't get any signal to get online and google stuff ourselves so this would have been very useful / Get wifi!!!"

"Wonderful house, great garden for our dog to run around. Down side was not great local pubs that allow our dog in with us when we eat. We find this hard to understand when we stayed at a rather posh hotel on our way to break up our journey and they where so lovely with out dog, staying in a brand new beautiful bedroom then she could come in for evening meal and breakfast with us, so why can't pubs be more dog friendly ? Obviously if a dog is not well behaved it shouldn't be allowed in. We also stayed at another really lovely place on our way home and again they where so good with our dog. Anyway, apart from that we had a really lovely holiday and would definitely recommend the house."
