Castle coach house is so lovely, beautifully finished with lots of space and light.
There is a great utility / boot room which helps keep all the mud out of the main house. The bedrooms upstairs have great proportions and yet feel very cosy, plenty of bathrooms! The open plan kitchen, dining and living space gives everyone the space they need. Sofas and chairs are comfortable. The different lighting options helps to make the mood right in the evening. Lots of classic furniture and trinkets to keep it feeling homely and interesting. The kitchen is well equipped. There are lots of games to be used. We absolutely loved the house. Couple of things to work on: maintenance of the washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, extractor fans etc is probably due. The sitting room area could do with a picture or two or a wooden dresser with the tv inside a cabinet, and get rid of the fender which takes up space and looks a bit odd. The enclosed garden wasnât enclosed as the gate is broken. Itâs also unfortunately a muddy bog which may be tricky to figure out as itâs at the bottom of a hill. I felt a bit sad being right next to lovely garden areas of the castle which have private signs on them all so you canât use them.

We had a wonderful fortnight here.
The house has beautiful views of the Preseli Hills and the setting means you're in the heart of one of the prettiest parts of rural Pembrokeshire. The house is spacious, comfortable and modern inside. Ideally, it would have another loo, so it could be a bit of a stretch for six people, but certainly fine for four. We have a terrier who made friends with the neighbouring owners' charming sheepdog, Mac. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and are on hand if you need them. The (dog) walking and cycling is extensive, first class and on the doorstep. You do need to be quite fit though, as there are few horizontal surfaces in this part of Wales. The nearby Gwaun Valley is particularly charming and features a very quirky pub. Both Newport and Cardigan are within 20 minutes' drive, and, along with the usual amenities, now offer some excellent restaurants too. If you are looking for somewhere tranquil and rural, and don't need to be on top of the beaches, this would be an excellent choice.

I was disappointed that the property had not been cleaned prior to our arrival and was not to the same standard of other holiday properties I have rented and expected.
There were cleaning products available, so I started my holiday cleaning the bathrooms! Unfortunately there was no vacuum cleaner or broom available to sweep the floors. Important when the property allows dogs to stay and it is expected to leave the property in the same state as arrival . I reported this the next morning at the local office. Unfortunately, no vacuum arrived during our stay, as was organised. It would be helpful to have more information in the 'useful information' folder on recycling/rubbish and how to leave the property on departure. The property did have a lot of extraneous objects, papers, letters etc., cluttering up the window shelves and drawers of furniture. This is a lovely property and we enjoyed our stay. It just needs a good sort through, removing unnecessary items and make sure the essentials are cleaned prior to clients arriving.

Overall it was a good stay, the cottage had many good points but there are a lot of improvements which could be made.
Good points: the location is great, ample parking, good secure garden for dogs, warm tap outside to wash down the dog, beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were nicely done Improvements: the house was freezing when we arrived and took 2 days to warm up. There is a lot of unnecessary, old, and dirty furniture downstairs and in the bedrooms which were full of junk and are unusable for guests. The lounge furniture was not comfortable, needs better sofas and armchairs. One of the dining chairs was broken and could be dangerous. The kitchen was fairly well stocked but some of the equipment was not good, eg frying pans with the coating coming off. The hoover was useless, we tried to clear up after muddy boots and dogs but it was hopeless. The cottage wasnât very clean when we arrived, there were items of clothing left from previous guests.

We've had a wonderful stay in Bwthyn Eisteddfa Fach and would highly recommend it.
We went as a family of 6 (4 adult Children) and a dog. There was plenty of space for us all and the property was really well equipped. We loved sitting in the dinning area to eat breakfast each morning whilst soaking in the views. We also really enjoyed our evening dips in the hot tub. The garden was enclosed and secure enough for our dog, and we had regular visits from Mac the farm dog, who was really friendly. The owners Rhian and Matt were attentive and friendly, and only next door if we needed them, but left us to our own privacy during the week. Loads to do in the area... pretty beaches, countryside walks, historic sites, a reservoir down the road for water sports etc. We didn't get round everything so now need to go back to this part of Pembrokeshire, and definitely wouldn't hesitate to book the same property again!
