What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr N Russell - Verified booking

We've stayed in many self-catering cottages around Britain, several of them since we've had dogs, and The Stables is surely among the best, if not the best. It could not be more dog-friendly, and the location and surroundings are ideal with a lovely walk through the woods full of birdlife, straight out of the door and down to a stream, well away from the road. The dogs loved it so much they had us up at 6 every morning to go and do it - and very pleasant too, after the initial shock to the system! The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, nothing extra required and the welcome from Tina and Colin could not be bettered, with advice as needed on places to visit, some of which we'd otherwise have missed. Location is good too, being near enough to many places of interest in Pembrokeshire, north and south. Thoroughly recommended.

    • Miss Toth - Verified booking

The Stables was a wonderful property to stay in. It was great to have access to all the necessary equipment we could need (oven, microwave, kettle, etc.). It is very child friendly with the stair gate at the top. The play room was a great hit with our daughter who could not get enough of it. Tina and Collin, along with their daughter and her family were wonderfully welcoming and approachable. Their property is great for walks and well situated to visit several places such as Tenby, Saundersfoot. There are plenty of things to do around for all ages (Folly Farm, beaches, etc.). We are already considering booking the property again in the Spring. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side this time but we definitely weren't bored and feeling stuck indoors with all the different things around.

    • Mr Nigel Overton - Verified booking

The cottage was a perfect size for a couple and two dogs. We liked the decor. The rural location was wonderful. Field adjacent for dog walking in the morning and evening. Longer walks to explore around the cottage and farm. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and full of knowledge about the local area eg restaurants, cafes, beaches and other places to visit. Everywhere in this area seemed to be very dog friendly. Original cottages kept us well informed the whole way through the process from booking to actual holiday.. Excellent! We look forward to booking this cottage or another in the area very soon. We had a fantastic winter break. Thank you.

    • Mr Matt Smith - Verified booking

The owners, Colin and Tina, were the most welcoming and friendly owners ever. All the furnishings were of top quality, extras such as the flower displays picked from the garden, fresh fruit to eat in a bowl and an open invitation to pick from their orchards, plus loads more made our holiday. Our 6yr old loved all the toys she could play with, the two Dogs, Sammy & Bramble, the chickens, and the lambs in the top field. Her favourites were the two doggies. We were sad to leave and will miss our temporary home at Penderry. We wish we had booked a couple of weeks as a week wasn't long enough!

    • Mrs Linda Harvey - Verified booking

A lovely place to stay. Everything you could possibly need. Cath and Kevin very welcoming and friendly. Welsh cakes pack waiting for us and a couple of other items in the fridge. Bungalow very clean and would love to go back. Just a slight note to Original Cottages - If you are travelling from the West then the property comes first before the petrol station on the right hand side. Might also be helpful if Woodford Lane be included in the address as we passed it not realising that was the turning for the property.
