What our customers say about their holidays

    • Cheryll - Verified booking

Beautiful property in a stunning location.

If you want peace, quiet and tranquility this is the place for you. We wanted for nothing, everything was thought of from the fresh farm eggs and Welsh cakes in the welcome pack, to the pint of milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar and all the cleaning products you would ever need. They missed nothing, even a welcome pack for the dog! The property is clean and fresh, very comfy bed, sofa not so much. The small enclosed garden is lovely, although the wall is lower in some places than others, take care if you have an escape artist! We had a lovely week just relaxing and recharging those batteries, hot tub helped here too! There are things to see and do in the area just be mindful to relax and take time and care on the narrow roads. Well worth a visit, the surrounding countryside is stunning and quiet. We loved it.

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped and in a pleasant location.

The parking arrangements were good in the forecourt of the owners house. The bell on the church opposite was noticeable in the quiet but was not disturbing. Our main concerns were the very low ceilings in the bathroom where the bath and hand shower were tucked under the eaves and likewise the toilet. Access is difficult for people who are less The other issue was the listing as having a pub within a mile. The pub was a long way down country lanes which are unlit and have no footpath. I am sceptical that it is within one mile. This is critical when this is a filter choice and a reason for considering the cottage,. We noticed that the information in the cottage said that the pub was about 30 mins walk while the website information at the time of booking said 15-20 mins walk.

Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone, barn is lovely and couldn’t fault anything.

Very clean and tidy on arrival, hot tub & log burner are amazing on the cold nights. Owners Lowri & Gwyn are brilliant should you need anything - we also got to meet Freddie (dog) the star of the show ! Very quiet in the local area, lots of wildlife and it gives you a real break from the world. Loads of great walks within 30-40mins drive of the barns - also your own private mountain behind the barns from which you can see for miles around once at the top… Dog friendly (we took our Labrador) we did read some reviews of the bigger barn not being secure for dogs due to the fence facing the road, during our stay the owners had this replaced with a more secure fence suitable for dogs. We will certainly be back !!

      Great accommodation.

Would recommend the Stabl for a cute weekend get away. We can for our staymoon before we go St Lucia for our honeymoon. Lovely little welcome gifts when we arrived and even some for our dog Sully. The only thing we couldn’t find was a local shop so we’re having to drive 30 minutes out to a supermarket but feel when we were leaving we thought we saw a little local shop at the back of a cottage on the way, but not 100% sure. We use an app called Komoot for our walks and this didn’t pick any local, on the doorstep walks, however we did go to Lake Vryn which was lovely and a good day out and the following day we went back and walked to the waterfalls.

'What a holiday means to us and our Springer Spaniel' - No work just relaxation and resting away from home.

      - A friendly welcome from the cottage owners. - Comfortable, clean, well equipt and characterful cottage. - Idyllic, quite, private and secluded, but close to all towns and amenities. - Off road parking with ease of access for one car or more. - Private sunny garden. - Location and wonderful views. This our definition of what a cottage holiday means to us. We have found a 'Hidden Gem', a 'Home from Home'. Having stayed in all seasons on a number of occasions this cottage is warm in the cooler months and cool in the warmer months but always a warm welcome. A wonderful place to relax and just unwind.......we will return. Chris, Liz and Jenny our dog.
