      Absolutely stunning cottage!

It had EVERYTHING you could possibly need whike away - we took all sorts of things we thought we might need for self catering but needn't have bothered as this beautuful place has it all. The owners run the pub, literally a couple of minutes away from the cottage, and were really lovely and helpful. Everything you need to know is in a welcome pack folder set out when you get there and they gave us all the essentials like milk, tea, bread all ready for us! If you run out of anything, there's a shop right next to the pub too. All rooms are beautifully presented - the log burner is huge and a real bonus in the cold weather. The hot tub is amazing and is a 6 person one with plenty of room and views across the fields at the rear of the house. Beds are very comfy, bathrooms are gorgeous and all newly fitted. We had a couple of takeaways from the pub menu, and the food is great - very reasonably priced! I could go on about this cottage for hours and we already plan to return next year. It's a hidden gem in a beautiful place... just WOW! Thanks to the owners and we will return as soon as we can

The Old Workshop is a lovely little cottage, finished and furnished to a very high standard with everthing provided to make your stay comfortable.

Adjoining the owners home, it has its own private entrance and secluded patio area overlooking a lovely garden with views of the fields and hills beyond. It is so peaceful and we heard probably no more than half a dozen cars passing over the first couple of days we were there. We spent most of those first few days just sitting in the garden or walking locally and enjoying the beautiful weather. The owners were away, but kept in touch with us to make sure everything was as it should be and left a welcome gift of biscuits and fresh eggs from their hens (as we returned the key at the end of our stay we were amused to see a hen sitting on its eggs in a basket by the front door). Tea, coffee and milk were also provided which is always really appreciated after a journey. The Workshop is a few miles from the main road and accessed by narrow country lanes - we really felt we had 'got away' from it all. There is lots to do in the area, from hill walking to visiting local towns and villages. Some great pub lunches and cream teas available! We had a great week away would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

The Old Workshop was exactly what I was expecting from the excellent photos I had seen on the website.

The place was perfect for a much needed break. We took our dog Teddy with us and I walked him on the wooded bridleway, which was just up the lane, every morning, while my husband stayed in bed.The four day stay was for him to chill out and destress after working incredibly hard recently and for me to do some walking. After breakfast we went sightseeing, there are so many places to visit in this area, we loved Ludlow and Shrewsbury we visited Ironbridge too. The countryside was gorgeous especially in the autumn colours. The cottage is beautifully decorated and so lovely to stay in. I loved the colour scheme throughout and all the lovely little touches. You have everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. We loved the log burner in the evening and just chilled out with a glass of wine and watched movies. So relaxing after a day sightseeing. We would definitely recommend The Old Workshop we loved our stay in it and the beautiful location. Very peaceful and quiet

My husband an I booked the Chapel for our 5th wedding anniversary.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome. The Old Chapel is welcoming, cosy and comfy, with a lovely log burner and a spacious hot tub over looking the beautiful hills and countryside. There is everything you need at the chapel - from washing up liquid, to tea, coffee, ketchup, dishwasher tablets, cleaning stuff - everything you would need. The log burner is all set ready to light, there was milk and bread, plus a homemade cake which was delicious. We immediately felt relaxed and at home. The pub - The Stiperstones Inn is a short walk away, and as it is run by Lara & Phil you get a discount on the food there. The food is delicious, proper pub grub with a good selection and very reasonably priced. The staff an locals are also so friendly and make you feel like it is your own local! There are lots of beautiful walks to do, and it is truly a stunning location. We will be going back for sure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The cottage was warm and cosy.

Very well equipped kitchen and cosy wood burner with inclusive logs supplied. Car parking easy with plenty of room for a larger car. The hospitality of Nicola and David was excellent. The welcome pack was there when we arrived; milk, and eggs from their chickens. Storage in bedroom was very good, with plenty of drawers, hanging and shelves. Although isolated the narrow roads into Church Stretton / Shrewsbury were well signposted and quiet; other road users were courteous. However be aware that the majority of the roads around are single track with infrequent passing places and can be muddy. Its best to rely on a map rather than a Sat Nav. Church Stretton offered a range of independent shops and plenty of walks. Transport services were well catered for with frequent buses and trains. Overall a very enjoyable week.
