What our customers say about their holidays

    • Christine - Verified booking

Spotlessly clean and very cosy and welcoming.

Love the touches like the pretty cushions and pictures on the wall. Everything there you would need for a lovely break. Location is fabulous for getting out and about too. We took our dog with us too, and it worked well for us. With it being end of October we took clothes etc for all weather, and that is the one thing that would have been tricky if we had got soaked in terms of where to hang things to dry off. We definately will go again. It does say sleeps 4 (pull out sofa bed) but I would say you wouldn't want 4 adults, but would work if two were youngish children or younger teens, as I think they would love the novelty of the Pod. Which, to be honest, was why I picked it too, being a bit of a kid at heart. Our first holiday taking our rescue dog, not sure how she would settle, but she loved exploring when we walked her round the site. If we had been staying longer and weather had been better, we would have used the footpath at the back of the site to walk to Hornsea and the beach

Excellent experience, I’ve not stopped in a pod before.

Decor is minimalist to sophistication, the structural design is well thought to assist guests. A choice of light with glass frontage, makes possible to enjoy the view either from within or preferably to sit out. ‘ there is also seating area to each pod outside’ If required blinds and curtain to close for privacy. There are a few steps to the property, yet inside is one level ,if you struggle with disabilities ‘ maybe a ramp’ . The owners have done a marvellous job by maintaining and organising this place. I was particularly impressed with ‘only chemical free’ products are used for cleaning. There were other guests stopping in caravan’s, motor homes and tents. Although a busy time, the volume was low. Hence a peaceful nice atmosphere. White rose caters for all ages , families thus couples or single persons. Julie

If you want peace and quiet come here, the lodge is set in beautifully maintained gardens with lovely views across fields next to a wildlife pond with a balcony.

The inside is very spacious with two double sized bedrooms an on suite and main bathroom, it was very clean throughout we thought we were the first guests as it all seemed so new, the owner was very nice and said if we had any special requests he would organise them for us and that he was a chef and could cook for us a special meal if we wished which sounded very tempting. We also had milk from the farm, bread and butter, tea and coffee, and plums and apples from the trees. The double bed was quite firm but for us it was okay. We visited Castle Howard and the Walled Gardens at Scampston which we actually preferred, Malton is worth visiting if you are a foodie. We also walked both bays along the seafront at Scarborough and through Peasholm Park. In summary a great all round experience and we may well return

Hello, we had a lovely week staying in one of your pods.

Location was spot on. Overall the pod was really lovely, comfortable, all the main things we needed the pod had. We spoke to a friendly and helpful woman who was working in the reception hut. She gave us a map that had a good description of the surrounding area and marked out where we were to walk to get to the seafront. Walk was really nice and kept us safe from the fast windy road. Just a couple of things we'd like to mention are: the mattress was not very comfortable, as you could feel the springs. It would be lovely if it could be replaced. A shower mat and additional hooks to hang your towels from in the bathroom and around the pod would have been a great benefit. We have already told our friends and family how lovely the pod and surrounding area was and recommended a stay to them :)

      It was a lovely setting.

How nice to hear the farm animals and feel so secluded. The dogs loved the garden that they could run around freely in. We had some great meals nearby. The property was just what you needed. There were a few minor points. Some things felt like they were about to break - hadn’t but any minute could..these were the kitchen tap, blinds in the bedroom, one of the single beds and remotes for the tele. I was on edge knowing that we could be charged with them and had to be very careful. We would also have appreciated hand soap in at least one of the bathrooms, just because it has been at all the other properties we have stayed at so weren’t expecting to have to bring our own. On the whole though these were minor things and we would be happy to return. Thank you
