Ripon Lodge is praised for its peaceful setting, comfort, and amenities like a hot tub, making it ideal for rest and relaxation. Guests appreciate the dog-friendly environment and the proximity to local pubs and villages. While some minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests looking forward to returning.
Guests have had a mixed experience with cleanliness. Some found the lodge spotless, while others noted issues such as leftover items from previous guests and general cleaning that could be improved. However, the positive experiences suggest that cleanliness is generally satisfactory.
The location is highly regarded for its tranquility and countryside charm. Guests can enjoy a quiet retreat with the convenience of walking to the nearest village and enjoying local pubs. The setting is consistently appreciated for offering peace and quiet.
Comfort is a strong point for Ripon Lodge, with guests finding the accommodations clean and comfortable. The provision of a comfy bed and good cooking facilities contributes to a pleasant stay, although some guests were disturbed by the noise from the hot tub at night.
Facilities like the hot tub are a highlight, though there are comments about the need for better windows and more light in the living room and bedroom. Some maintenance issues are mentioned, but overall, guests are pleased with the amenities provided.
While guests mention thoughtful touches such as dog-friendly accommodations with a bed and bowls provided, there is no mention of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to score thoughtfulness based on gifts, and the score is set to null.

Over all we had a great time, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and loved the hot tub, there is everything in the lodge from a comfy bed to great cooking facilities, the only let down was the cleanliness, there was a can of alcohol from another guest in the cupboard and general cleaning was poor, this honestly would not put us off staying again as the pros outweighed the cons, Mandy was lovely and very helpful, we are looking forward to booking next year.

Fabulous and relaxing break!
Confirmed Guest
We have stayed at Cedar Retreats before and it is exactly right for a quiet break. The Ripon Lodge could do with a larger living room window to let more light in and the bedroom would benefit from a better window as I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the sliding patio door open at night when it was hot. Apart from this, a lovely week.
