Beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings.
My partner and I had a wonderful three night stay here and would highly recommend it to anybody wanting a relaxing stay in the Peak District. Only a couple of very minor issues. First, the kitchen area has very little available space for food preparation, so if you're thinking of cooking a meal then you may have to get creative. Second, the paving stones outside can become *very* slippery. We stayed during one of these storms which are currently sweeping across the country and there was a lot of rain. In gentler weather I'm sure it's fine. Be careful! But this is tantamount to nit-picking and overall I would rate this is an exceptional property. The bathroom and bedroom are finished to a very high standard, the living room is compact but comfortable, on-site parking, and very friendly hosts.

. More spacious than we expected. Lovely wooden worktops and range cooker. Only 2 things I think to add â¦.. A nice big clock would have suited kitchen rather than the picture up and a bigger wardrobe in the adults bedroom. The apartment is suited for 2 adults 2 children. I would not say the beds are sturdy enough for adults. Apartment hosts were great at communication and couldnât fault them, especially when we needed them to assist us. Do take an extra tea towel/ sponge and toilet roll as we shopped at Morrisonâs. Lovely to eat in and relax in the apartment. Lovely books and lovely walks for the family. Would recommend Tissington trail and snake path trail. Would def recommend this lovely airy apartment.

Elmwood is a stunning holiday property which sets the bar for others extremely high.
We relaxed as soon as we set foot inside. All the amenities are of a high standard and nothing has been missed. Walk in shower with lashing of hot water was very welcomed after walks in the surrounding hills as was the king sized bed. Great location for walks from the doorstep and travel to Buxton or Bakewell. The host left us an amazing welcome pack which included bread, milk, wine, small jams, tea, coffee etc and was very much appreciated. They have put their heart and soul into the restoration of the Saw Mill and it is a fascinating building. We wish them all the very best for the future and we will certainly be booking again.

A perfect stay in wonderful accommodation in a beautiful part of the Peak District.
Lovely countryside walks on the doorstep, including the pretty village of Longnor and the friendly pub which is just a few minutes walk from the property. We did lots of exploring but enjoyed returning to Elmwood for cosy evenings where we had all we could possibly need, including a generous welcome pack which was an added bonus! We are full of admiration for Phillip and Shirley and their loving restoration of The Old Sawmill. We would love to return and would highly recommend this apartment to future guests. Thank you once again - it was a real pleasure to meet you both!

This place is so peaceful and relaxing.
Good walks close by. Everything is of a very high standard. Nothing has been overlooked. The kitchen is extraordinarily well equipped for a holiday let. A luxurious bathroom, which would have been even better if there had been more hot water to fill the lovely bath. A very comfortable bed with high quality bedding. The attention to detail on the owners hand crafted doors and window frames give an indication of the love which is going into this restoration. An invitation to tour the onsite workshop was an education and a joy. We will be keen to revisit soon.
