"Fifteen friends shared this magnificent home while attending the World Equestrian Games in Caen. My commitment is to return to fully enjoy this Chateau without the distraction of dressage. The photos and information provided are all very accurate. Arnaud the owner was very available and helpful to deal with during the booking and provided excellent information regarding the locale and guides (for a DDay tour). The residence itself is jaw-dropping. Once the front gates open you immediately realise that you've made an excellent choice. The housekeeper Francoise was a smiling face there to welcome you. There are ample areas for entertaining, both inside and out and a spectacular dining room. All the bedrooms are ensuited and very comfortable. Several are imposing to say the least. A couple of the bedrooms are relatively small (relative to the size of the chateau rather than the size of a typical European hotel room), but the communal areas are so numerous that it was very easy to find a quiet place to relax. The pool was well heated and the bikes were well used for morning rides to the local village. The grounds were exceptional - a twilight wander over the grass or through the trees with a glass in hand was a fantastic way to end the day. The kitchen was well equipped; however thankfully we didn't really need to avail ourselves of this because of the wonderful Gwenaelle, the cook. After the week we were working on ways of taking Gwenaelle with us! After a day touring or at the dressage, to arrive 'home' at 7pm and have Gwenaelle preparing a wonderful repast in the kitchen was for many of us a highlight. Excellent food that we were more than happy to consume every night. I will certainly be returning, probably next time with my extended family. Whilst this fabulous chateau is full of history and antiques, it is so very livable and felt very much like a home for all of us. For someone who travels frequently and widely, this was on of the best week's holiday I've had. And largely made that way because of the Chateau and it's staff."

"It is a stunning house, beautifully furnished and appointed, and there was nothing that we did not find to be delightful, useful and comfortable. Upon our arrival, we found it to be spotlessly clean and all the rooms ready and welcoming. James and Aaron, the Guardians, were both charming and unfailingly helpful. The weather was cool, and they provided firewood for both the fire pit and indoor fireplace. They answered questions about keys and kitchen appliances and the pleasures of the grounds and arranged and laid the table for two nights when we had formal meals, complete with flowers from the gardens. They carted away the rather large amount of empty wine bottles we generously provided for recycling. They are a credit to the property and added great value to our experience. And the grounds! It was wonderful to say, “I am going to take a walk in the gardens” and come back 2 hours later. Despite the many attractions in the area, myself and several of my friends chose to spend the day on the property just for the pleasure of being there. We are a group of friends who have rented large houses in many parts of the world, and this would be one of the loveliest we have experienced. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The whole stay was delightful. Also, thank you for recommending Yvette; she was charming and what a cook! The two dinners she made for us were wonderful and after the first dinner we all awoke to a huge plate of crepes she had made and left us for breakfast! And as she left on our last night we were all treated to hugs and kisses and all in all it was a fine dining experience."

"We booked the Chateau, for a family (15 people) get together trip in Mai. Pre-arrival, Simon the owner was very nice to organize us a local chef for diners and also to have all our breakfast setup. At our arrival Simon welcome us with some nice rose wine, local cider show us around the beautiful property, we felt immediately home and that he was our guest :) We rent Chateau in France every year for this family trip and this is the best Chateau we ever rented. The inside is done with very nice and cosy taste, by adding modernity and keeping the authentic part, its extremely clean and feels like new. The many rooms gives space to everyone, kids love the game room and I personally love the private library in the master bedroom. We had diner outside (the weather was excellent) and inside. The modern kitchen get everything you need to cook together. The quality of the beds and the beds sheets show that you are really living in a luxury place. The Parc is the place where we had long walk and you have an old Cedar "energy" tree where I was doing my meditation every morning. For those into yoga or mediation you will feel the positive energy there. We enjoyed the tennis court that is in perfect condition, we were a bit early in the year to enjoy the "potager", for those coming later during the year it might be great. Locally, we enjoyed many activities, like canoeing, local markets, visit of Churches, etc... I will recommend without hesitation the Chateau, its a wonderful place to build good memories and take them home with you. Gregory Tallinn, Estonia & Palm Beach, Florida"

"Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality to the Defense Attach Office during this past D-Day week here in Normandy. Everyone enjoyed the experience immensely and will remember the visit for the rest of their lives. To those other Americans considering leasing some sort of chateau or staying at a B&B for an experience in Normandy, I can strongly recommend the Chateau as an unforgettable experience that is absolutely enjoyable. Arnaud and Berengere are as kind and honest as one could ever expect to encounter. The others that work at the chateau are also just top notch personnel - very helpful, kind, and considerate; they represent the very best of the French people. The chateau is in impeccable shape and offers many amenities for everyone to enjoy; it's a great place for a group to have a wonderful experience. It is a fascinating place full of history that will certainly inspire even the novice historian buff. Everyone that I know that has stayed here has absolutely loved the place. If you are considering the Chateau as a possible visit location in Normandy, I can strongly recommend the place; you can't beat it!"

"We are welcomed by Gea, our hostess, with a drink on arrival. Then she shows us the house and the large garden. In the room there is a basket with a bottle of Brût, camembert and a few eggs. (Very nice!) And very important for us a travel guide of Normandy and Bretragne. Ours is forgotten at home. The interior of the house is warm. You feel at home quickly and outside you will find a sea of tranquility. Around the house is a large garden with lots of birds, which continuously fly and fly. In one of the jugs, we discover later, there is a nest with blue tits. We have unfortunately missed the flight. View from the terrrace on fields, trees, shrubs including currants and berries, plants and flowers. The atmosphere exudes peace and quiet. All in all it is a special place and it gives us a soothing, relaxed feeling. Also a great base to discover Normandy. Especially Le Mont-Saint-Michel, Granville, Arromanches-les-Bains (Omaha Beach D-Day), Bayeux and Honfleur are worth it! Our holiday was great thanks to our hostess Gea and her husband Mario. Special, warm and hospitable people. Thank you. Misha and Lucie"
