"Had a lovely week staying at Bank Villa. The decor is absolutely stunning - all done in accents of black, white, grey and silver with splashes of red in a couple of the bedrooms. Very tasteful and modern, yet in an old fashioned house. The kitchen was lovely - it had the same cooker as I have, so I knew what I was doing straight away! - but the instruction manuals were left for all of the household appliances, right down to the hairdryer in the ensuite! We found the garden a little bit difficult to get up to - the steps are very steep - so I maybe wouldn't recommend it for elderly people, small children or people with mobility problems, although the garden itself was lovely with a great view of Llansteffan. If you're not bothered about going in the garden though, don't let this put you off!Similarly, the spiral staircase up to the attic was a bit tricky to negotiate, but I suspect little kids would love it!The ensuite and the main bathroom were both gorgeous - there's a walk-in cubicle shower in the ensuite for anyone with mobility issues - and an over-bath shower in the bathroom. The house also has the nicest outside toilet I've ever seen! The lounge was very comfy with a nice big TV, and the wifi was phenomenal! (A massive bonus as we had no mobile signal on O2 in the whole village!)As we had a dog, we didn't eat out in the village a lot, but we did try Florrie's Fish 'n' Chips at the beach, and these were gorgeous and the staff were lovely, even giving us a partial refund because the cod they had were smaller than usual! The staff and customers were also lovely in the village shop, although it only stocks the basics. The nearest supermarket is about a fifteen minute drive away, although there's a Spar in nearby Johnstown. We did find the house a little bit chilly when we first arrived, but this could have been because no-one was staying in it the week before. All in all we had a lovely time at Bank Villa. I would definitely recommend it."

"A beautifully renovated cottage - comfortable and well-equipped. We have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages and this has to be the most stylish! The owners have obviously put a lot of thought and care into the cottage and we were made very welcome by Huw. The property is on a steep bank, which may present difficulties for some guests. However, the view from the garden made negotiating the steep steps outside worthwhile and our 15 year old son found no problems with the spiral staircase inside to reach his generous bedroom in the very top of the house. Our teenagers were also impressed with the great wifi - no complaints there! The location was great for us - just a 5 minute walk to the beach and the local amenities, including a friendly pub serving good, reasonably priced food. Llansteffan is a lovely village with very friendly locals. There are beautiful walks and scenery and Carmarthen is within easy reach. We had a fabulous week at Bank Villa and look forward to returning soon."

"Absolutely beautiful cottage, the owner is lovely & very welcoming. The cottage has everything you need & is very well equipped we even arrived to some milk, eggs, butter in the fridge & bread, teas & coffees etc to use until our shop arrived as Asda deliver direct to the cottage. There are stunning views from the lounge & bedroom windows, the cottage is very light & open & the evening sunshine through the kitchen is just lovely, it makes an ideal base to discover some of the stunning coast lines of South Wales, its less than an hours drive from lovely Tenby & Mumbles. The narrow winding lanes around the close proximity of the cottage all add to the feeling of being in Wales. Even if the weather is so bad you don't want to leave the house there are loads of books to read or games to play. My 10year old was overjoyed as there is also Wifi. I would recommend this place it's gorgeous. The Bettney's - Rotherham"

"The owner of the cottage is a really lovely lady, but the cottage, although close to a beach, is unusually situated for a holiday cottage, it looks straight on a pair of double garages which would generally be termed eyesores. The view out the back was breathtaking for the wrong reasons. The property gets good sunshine from the front, but is mid terrace and the back has a high cliff going up behind it (wooded), so a bit short on sunlight. There is no back garden, just a very slippery raised decking area and views of concrete/ washing line/ slabs/ domestic oil stores. The real issue for this property is that it is wrongly priced, which means that people feel disgruntled as soon as they arrive. We gave up on trying to use the TV !! The bedrooms were very nice. A very useful property if you want to be able to walk to a quiet beach in 2 minutes and still be able to park. "

"Highly recommended!Very very nice cottage in very nice village with extraordinary friendly people. The most thing to mention is, the cottage is spectacular clean and perfect new renovated. Everything, what is needed during holidays, is available. WLAN extremly fast. Friendly neighbours. Nice beach. Do not miss a dinner at Yr Hen Dafarn (do not eat two days before that! No appetizer or only appetizer!)We can recommend the cottage for everyone, especial for guests with pets.We met the owner Huw in a pub together with the famous artist Peter Jones. Have a look at his excellent pictures in his gallery opposite the pub, when visiting Llansteffan. We love the beautiful wales and we will visit it again surely!"
