"We had a lovely week at Mena Farm. The cottage is set out in the country adjoining the Mena camp site. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and we were able to take in the scenery whilst exercising the dogs. We were a family of 6 4 adults and two children aged 9 & 5. They loved the outdoor play area and had hours of fun playing. The facilities in the cottage are good, however the only negative was the bathroom, more the shower. Unfortunately the shower spray was very poor so much so that the spray was more of a trickle! The bathroom itself is nice a spacious with a slipper bath. We did try to use the bath but it took forever to fill up...we gave up and it also used all the hot water. So in essence looked nice but not really useful. As a minimum the shower needs to be replaced. The drive area to the house was private and secure. It was lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sun. The yard area would benefit from a patio set or a table to go with the chairs already provided. (there was a wooden picnic table but the bench was very narrow and uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time)The kitchen facilities are great, it was easy to cook for the family rather than spending lots of money eating out.We did use the wood burner one evening and although you have to pay for the wood as this is an added extra it soon warmed the house up and made it cosy. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. It was an ideal central location and I would stay again. In fact we didn't want to come home."

"This is a lovely well presented property with substantial character and good parking right outside the front door. It is very well equipped and very clean. Its location in Dunmere next to the River Camel and its trail are excellent but with a little road noise from the main A road between Bodmin & Wadebridge a 100m or so away although only really noticeable when the windows are open and did not affect sleeping. Quite spacious although you need to accept that the double beds are effectively against a bedroom wall on one side and the wet room ensuite a little small when compared to the very good bathroom off the other bedroom. Did not have time to use as out everyday of the week, but there are French doors off each downstairs bedroom to a cozy outside private sitting area with table and chairs. Cream tea on arrival demonstrated excellent owners just next door. Would definitely return."

"The cottage was no as advertised. It stated it had a washing machine and it didn't. This has been removed. The website also advertised it as having a large garden and pond which is untrue as the photos of the garden are part of the owners garden which you do not have unlimited access to. You have to ask for permission to use the garden. The cottage was also full of spiders, I appreciate that there will be spiders but I would expect them to be removed before we arrive. The cottage it's self was fine. A better quality fan would be good as it becomes extremely hot in there. I believe the way this cottage is being advertised needs to be changed. I do give credit to Polly and Marc when the kettle blew up they were quick to make amends for this."

"You can tell the owners take pride in S42960, it’s well looked after, very clean, well maintained and having somewhere that has space & is safe to store bikes is a real bonus as it’s very rare you can do that at holiday let’s. Being pet friendly was also a big plus for us. Cornish Horizons website is very informative & easy to use and book through. S42960s has all you need for a great holiday in Cornwall, with or without a four legged friend. It has all mod cons & is in an ideal location for exploring the north & south coast. Whilst The Camel Trail is on your doorstep & the pub just a 10min walk away, it’s such a quiet spot it’s lovely to relax in the courtyard in the sun at the of the day & look out over the meadow."

"We had a lovely holiday here, there is everything you need to make you feel at home. Ian and Alison are lovely people and really made us feel welcome. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely gesture and delicious, as were the fresh eggs and milk. The farmhouse is nice and private, has it's own gated driveway. It was only a short walk to the field to exercise our 2 dogs, a lovely enclosed area. The house is spacious and cosy and we really felt at home. There is a big kitchen with full size American fridge freezer, range cooker and good range of utensils etc. A great central location to access both coasts."
