"The accommodation itself was fine - not at all luxury but non the less fine.Good points:Plenty of space Only a small number of lodgesVery helpful onsite staffPretty decent restaurant on site Nice locationThings we didn't like:The hot tub was useless to us for 2 reasons: the lid was just too heavy to lift and you may as well be in it on a busy street as it is totally overlooked by the other lodges and the campersWi fi was very patchyBut the worst thing and the things which would stop us going back is the fact our lodge had what would have been a beautiful view of the Thames however right in front of us was a patch of grass which they filled with campers. They where very noisy until late at night and whenever we opened the curtains they where "there" virtually in our living room and fully blocking our view. This totally spoiled what could have been a lovely location for us."

"Excellent and cosy place to spend a quiet week and, if you have the urge, somewhere from which you can take off and explore Oxford and the surrounding area. Every piece of equipment worked except the security key holder which would not close, and one portable heater, even though I replaced the fuse in its plug. Combined CD player and radio also a bit of a mystery! A really good feature is the open hearth and the chance to have a fire - logs were supplied but if you want more go to B and Q or Homebase just down the road into Abingdon after the A34 interchange. Best local pub is the Merry Miller at Cothill - good food and drink and log fires. Beware of a very busy road just beyond the lane on which the Cottage stands. Cars are driven at well over the 40 MPH limit supposedly in force. Not easy for pedestrians. Information left for visitors very thorough."

"Camelia Cottage was perfect for my week in Oxfordshire. I was staying alone with my dogs and doing a week's course in the area and felt like I was coming home every evening. The cottage is comfortable and cosy and Katherine left plenty of the basic supplies (like washing up liquid, loo paper, soap etc) which is really great as you don't want to be shopping for those things when on holiday then having to take them home with you (some cottage owners are a bit mean in this regard)! Being a single traveller I am sensitive to how relaxed I am when I am away from home and sometimes feel a bit lonely or uncomfortable but at Camelia Cottage I felt right at home. I would highly recommend and will visit again when in the area. Thank you!"

"Our holiday was great and was very relaxing. Beautiful surroundings and lots to do just a short drive away. Would definitely recommend this place, although because of the great weather, just outside our hot tub/balcony there was caravans and tents right outside so the view was not that great as blocked the view of the river and boats. The hot tub is not very private but the area is not busy. The Waterfront cafe was lovely, and all the staff that worked there were very nice. We did not need any assistance on our holiday but i am sure if it was needed then the staff would of helped."

"Ideal for a quiet break for two. The accommodation is meticulously renovated to a high standard and spotlessly clean. We were welcomed with quiet music playing and a welcome pack including milk and cookies to recover from our journey and had a wonderfully peaceful stay. The local pub and pizzeria is just a hundred yards or so away and provides excellent value for take away or eat-in. The owner has put a lot of effort into making this a welcoming and cosy place to stay and I rate it the best I've ever seen for decor, equipment and welcome."
