Staying in Worcestershire

If you want to learn something new Worcestershire has plenty of museums. The Salt museum and the George Marshall Medical Museum are especially good. Worcestershire Sauce may be the first thing to spring to mind when thinking of Worcestershire and food, but this county has a lot more to offer. With many cafes, pubs and restaurants using locally sourced produce to create both traditional and new meals there is plenty to choose from. No matter where your interests lie, Snaptrip has a brilliant selection of late availability self catering accommodation for your trip.

"We really enjoyed our stay at S16363age over New Year. The rooms were comfortable and provided a good mix of double beds and singles for our mixed family group. The bathrooms were all clean, modern and plentiful - there were five full bathrooms with showers and one additional toilet. The kitchen was clean and well equipped with plenty of plates, cutlery, pots and pans etc so it was easy to cater for the group. The living room was not really big enough to accommodate fourteen of us comfortably but the dining room sat us easily so we were able to use this area too. The WiFi was not great but adequate. The garden was well fenced so suitable for our dog and there was easy walking along the river directly from the cottage. The drive to the cottage was interesting with some significant puddles on the last bit of the lane/driveway but otherwise the location is conveniently close to the M5/M50 but has the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Food at the nearby Railway Inn was excellent. All in all I'd recommend the cottage as somewhere that is well equipped, warm and comfortable and suited our needs as a convenient venue for a family get together."

"The best part about the holiday is how welcoming and receptive the owners are. Immediately there, as you pull up and happy to see you. You are instantly taken around your property and other amenities and everything is explained clearly. The place is located in a nice relaxing situation even with the other properties nearby, it does not affect your privacy. Go and visit by walking, Clives farm, pleasant cafe and you can be among the farm animals while having some light food and beverages. We loved Great Malvern and the hills; choose your walks first as there are so many, and not all as stimulating as others. The wife and I loved the drives we went to getting to such walks, as the views are spectacular, 180* from some points. The roads seem to circle the hills giving you the feeling you go round and round them as you come back into Malvern. Churches, monasteries and religious buildings from years past are abundant, all Gothic and stunning."

"What a beautiful location and lodge. Really enjoyed our stay. Sitting in the hot tub looking over the Malvern hills was breathtaking. Easy access to Worcester and Stratford. Pub up the road do a fabulous carvery. Rita was most welcoming. The only negative is that there is no washing machine in the property which would have been useful as we used extra towels getting in and out of the hot tub. There is a washing machine on site in the B &B but we didn't have the time to go and ask. I would suggest perhaps an option to be able to exchange towels now and again for convenience. Also the bed was a little uncomfortable. But I will defiantly return and have recommend to friends who are looking to book."

"We booked S42533 as it was advertised as having Internet Access and Mobile Signal. We had neither and this caused us unnecessary stress whenever I went out for a cycle ride leaving my wife at the lodge who is recovering from Leukaemia and a Bone Marrow Transplant as I couldn't contact her and neither could she contact me in a case of an emergency. The reviews all spoke about comfortable beds - they were not. The bedding and towels need to be replaced as they were not up to the standard that we have had in other Lodges. The towels were thin and frayed and the bedding was tatty. The hot tub was nice and was tended every other day by the owner."

"We loved S41556 and found it very comfy. I'd like to suggest, though, that a small, immersion blender be added to the kitchen and perhaps the frying pans could be updated a bit. Also, the smell of oil in the cloackroom was fairly strong - perhaps some ventilation is needed in the area of the washing machine? The odor was noticeable in the bathroom and closet directly above, too. We moved our clothes to the other closet to avoid them having a fuel-oil smell (I assume that's what the odor was - not quite sure). (Sorry if this is a repeat of a review I completed yesterday - my ipad told me it didn't 'send')"
