What our customers say about their holidays

    • Karen - Verified booking

Malvern View Lodge was the perfect rural retreat for me and my 2 dogs.

On arrival we were greeted by owner, Nigel, who had placed a beautiful antique bicycle at the entrance to the field with a personalised welcome message, which was a wonderful personalised touch. We were also presented with a basket full of delicious delights. The lodge itself is perfectly located to allow for complete privacy, peace and relaxation, overlooking the spectacular Malvern Hills. We especially loved the fire pit which made us feel nice and toasty on the cool autumn evenings, listening to the owls in the nearby woods. Inside the lodge is everything you need and nothing that you do not to enable a relaxing, comfortable stay. It was immaculately clean inside and outside, too. I took advantage of the offer of an art class with local artist, Penny, as arranged by Nigel. This was great fun! There is lots to see and do nearby, with Croome Court a must. The village of Wadborough is located very near to the M5 making Malvern View Lodge the perfect place whether you want a rural getaway or time to enjoy the cities of Worcester or Birmingham. I could not fault this experience at all. Lots of space for the dogs to enjoy and very safe. We can't wait to return again soon.

A friend and I stayed here in October and it was incredible.

Nigel and his wonderful mother could not do enough. As soon as we arrived a personal welcome via a beautifully positioned bike with a basket of treats was waiting for us at the entrance. Nigel greeted us and couldn't be more friendly and my dog Doug The Pug was immediately made a fuss of by Nigel. The accommodation is sublime and located in a beautiful field. Immaculate inside and sooooooo cosy. It had everything we needed for our stay. Nigel gave us a some history of how this came to be and you can really see his passion in the lodge itself. Oh and it has an eco friendly sanitary system too. If that isn't enough Nigel's mum made us home made scones with fresh strawberries and clotted cream and Nigel booked us into a dog friendly pub for a beautiful Sunday lunch. Beautiful walks and lots of nature all around ... my friend Michelle and I did not want to leave. Apologies to Nigel for having taken so long to write this but bravo on such an outstanding lodge and your attentive hosting. Michelle, Doug and I can't thank you enough :)

      Wow, wow and wow.

Absolutely amazing holiday with good well-being at the heart. A stunning lodge with such beautiful views. Thought has been put into the organisation of outside space to maximise views and tranquility. The lodge itself was very clean and well decorated with a lovely welcome basket to get you started and settled. Had everything you needed. Lots a little extras and thoughtful surprises as well. Very dog friendly, with extra treats for Monty dog too. Monty loved exploring the grounds and area. We both slept extremely well at night. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and have handy tips for walks and things to look out for which really made the most of the wonderful surroundings and all had well-being in mind. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend Malvern View Lodge. Sunsets and star gazing by the fire pit were the ‘cherry on the cake’.Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. :) I can not think of anything that needs to be added or changed to improve on my stay - it was truly wonderful :)

Malvern View Lodge delivers fully on the promise of its name - the view is spectacular!

The lodge itself provides comfortable, well-equipped and spotlessly clean accommodation for a couple and (for dog owners like us) an utterly brilliant setting for your four-legged friend. Our little dog would have stayed forever, I have no doubt. We stayed three nights over the new year and even some of the wettest weather on record did not dampen our liking for the lodge, the village of Wadborough and, more generally, some of the most beautiful countryside in England. Special note should be made of Nigel, our host, one of the most warm, welcoming and helpful of any we have rented accommodation from. The hamper left for us was a particularly nice touch. Special mention should also be made of the village pub, the Mason’s Arms, where again we were made very welcome. The beer was great! I would unhesitatingly recommend Malvern View Lodge to anyone looking for a tranquil stay in the English countryside. We intend to visit again in the spring or early summer. What better recommendation could there be than that?!

This a perfectly cosy retreat for a couple ( and a dog) to get away from everything.

In a large field by itself, it has a great view of the Malvern hills. You do need appropriate shoes to get from you car to the property (no stilettos ha ha), it is about 50 yards across a field. We stayed for 3 nights beg’ march ‘24, it was cold and raining, but the place was lovely and warm. It has been decorated and equipped very thoughtfully and we wanted for nothing. The personalised greeting on a sign when we arrived, the hamper of essentials and strawberries, cream, jam and scones In the fridge were a personal and thoughtful gift. Nigel and his mum are the perfect hosts and so friendly. Nigel is also a wealth of information on the local area and can suggest plenty of country walks with the dog. We stayed for 3 nights, but we came away so relaxed it felt like longer. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property and we will certainly be back (when it stops raining). Thank you for a fantastic stay Judy & Marc
