"Got off to a bad start, I booked early to avoid price rises only to have the price reduce by £40 before I paid the final amount 10 weeks out but I was still expected the old amount, I can understand with a few weeks to go but the reduction was 15 weeks in advanced. It was comfy and well equipped, the Sky was a nice touch though it was a shame it was connected to the internet which give a best experience. It was one of the best Studio properties we have stayed at.Real downside was the access to the property, restricted drive, narrow roads and a school meant it was a nightmare trying to get to and from the property we seemed to catch school time every time and the parents didn't seem to have a brain cell between them just blocking the road unnecessarily. It was easier to walk the half mile to the chip shop than get the car out, that how bad it was.The speed cameras that were round every corner got very wearing"

"My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Woodside although it was only for a couple of nights; really wish it was longer. Barry was so helpful, suggested several places to visit and provided us with all details needed. The cottage itself was superbly resourced, everything you need and more! The decor within the cottage as modern, books, dvds and cards were available for a quiet night in. Bathroom was spotless, the power of the shower was great, even the view from the bathroom was superb. Parking was available too as well as access to the garden and a sectioned area only for the cottage. I cannot have wished for a more perfect cottage to spend a long weekend, definitely will be returning in the future. Thank-you so much Barry and Rosemary!"

"This rental well-appointed and tastefully dressed bolthole is a great base for touring the area. It's location near the town and just across the road from a splendid park adds to the experience. We have no real negative comments but two suggestions:• We're not great TV watchers but we like an hour or so at the end of the day with a glass of wine and a DVD. The TV supplied here is too small. (Not suggesting a huge screen which would be out of keeping with the room.)• An external light seems to be in situ but we could not find a switch for it. A light outside the property would be a considerable boon to those returning at the end of their evening out.PS: One bit of housekeeping – the fridge light is out."

"More of a house than a cottage! Very well kept and very clean. Beds comfy. Kitchen equipment a little crammed with many multiples. Great fridge and freezer space. We had a food fridge and an alcohol fridge! Dining room a great space to play board games. Creaky floorboards upstairs meant it was impossible to tiptoe around at night without disturbing anyone. Great location being so close to Ashbourne. We found the sofas in the lounge very comfortable although a little antisocial as they were placed in a line but I don't know how they could have been arranged differently. Overall a great cottage though."

"We enjoyed our stay in this basement (cellar) apartment. We wanted somewhere to stay for the Buxton Festival and this was ideal being just a short walk across the park from the Pavillion and Opera House. As the weather was fine and we didn't spend much time in the time in the apartment, the lack of outlook was not a problem. The bedroom is quite small, but adequate with plenty of hanging space. The bath is a good size and comfortable, but the shower is attached to the taps, so is only really suitable for washing your hair. Lounge seats were comfortable, but the Wifi was a bit intermittent."
