Whilst the property was finished to a very high building spec.

It lacked many things. E.G. no hairdryer, nothing to dry the clothes on when washed in the Miele washing machine (we had to go and ask for something). No basins, milk jug, scales, serving spoons, fruit bowl, casserole dish, dishwasher tablets (2 would have been nice), no chairs and table for the garden only a wooden bench for 2.! The Aga had been switched off for summer (we hadn't been told) so no hob to boil on. Only a microwave/convection oven that had no where to keep some of the food hot. There were information leaflets on the area but 2023 not 24. There were very limited instruction books for the appliances. No welcome pack. The kitchen is quite small to fit 6 people around the table and for you to move around the kitchen -- so difficult for 6 people. Having had many years using Sykes for great holiday experiences this was sadly not on that level. It could easily be improved, with proper utensils, pots and pans, casseroles etc. for the kitchen. but space in the kitchen was not good. The kitchen window has a great crack where something has hit it. As there is no pub close enough to walk to it is more essential to have a well equipped kitchen with a cooker with a hob and if not to inform potential hirers that this is the case. I notice on the previous feedback that they had experienced the same, but sadly didn't read this until we were in the property. added to which there was no information on local places to eat but no maps for walks, no games for children etc. no books not even a pack of cards.

We had a really wonderful week in this lovely, clean, well appointed cottage.

Very comfy chairs & footstools in the lounge. There was everything in the kitchen that you could possibly need, with quality cutlery/crockery etc.& a lovely welcome tray. The bedding & towels, were beautiful, all top quality. A nice bedroom, overlooking the garden with a very comfortable bed & separate spacious dressing room. A beautiful bathroom & shower. A lovely quiet, well looked after garden, with new garden furniture for dining outdoors, & dappled shade if needed. It was a quiet area, with a short cut through walk to the river Avon & Stratford town centre. Lovely walks along the river, lots to see & do. Parking on the driveway. This is the nicest self catering holiday accommodation we have ever had, a very pleasant surprise. If we could give this cottage higher than 10 we would. Thank you for a lovely holiday. Sandra

Beautiful cottage (more like an house!

) immaculately presented. Everything you could need, kitchen had a great range of appliances and utensils, bedrooms spacious and great to have so many bathrooms. The village was lovely, everyone was really friendly and the house was a great base to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommend this property. Caroline the housekeeper was fab, we didnât need her but she allowed us an early check in and said to contact her if we had any issues. Peacock pub in the village is great, pool table and a big beer garden. Chinese was really good, we had takeaway and took it back to the cottage. Fish and chip van comes on a Tuesday night and parks on pub car park.

Communication from the owners and the housekeeper on email were first class and certainly were not expected!

We arrived to a lovely bottle of wine a packet of biscuits and a fresh pint of milk in the fridge to get us going. The house had everything we needed and the request for a cot and stair gate were duly provided. A small issue (which was communicated) with the log burner not working was absolutely fine, one because we were told in advance, two because the weather was glorious. The only very small downside was the parking, it didnât have any, but plenty around 300-400 yds done the road. The locals were fantastic, friendly and cheerful. I would highly recommend this house and the pile t hesitate to return.

Couldnât fault location and cleanliness of property and the space and configuration of rooms it offered this worked perfectly with our âgroupâ.

However on arrival there was a note that the aga is not available during the summer months this made cooking our family meal on our first night very difficult without a hob if we had known this in advance we could have brought different food and with small children waiting to be fed!. A small âniggleâ was a couple of items missing in the kitchen, a fantastic larder but very basic items lack of serving dishes to use and heated towel rails not hot as advertised but overall the comfort did not spoil our break just trying to be constructive for future bookings
