"Upon arriving at S21417 we were so delighted to see that the cottage was set in a large paddock and the front elevation overlooks fantastic uninterrupted views of the snow top mountains and open landscape. The cottage is absolutely beautiful. Good sized rooms which are nice and cosy. Perfect for a family of 4 + 1 dog. Towels and bed linen provided were lovely and clean. Fluffy towels! And the bed linen smelt fresh. I have to say the beds were very comfortable. The open fire was brilliant, the fire was set up for the first night so just needed lighting BUT no matches provided to light it. Luckily the Tesco delivery man was a smoker so we ambushed him. We had a Tesco delivery so we didn’t need to go out shopping for food but the local village does have a Spar. Beautiful walks locally. We liked Hafren Forset the most. Gorgeous waterfalls, streams which form from the River Severn. The few down sides-•No matches provided to light the fire. (Not on arrival)•1 pot on the left hand side of the fire (cast iron). We lifted the lid to see if matches were in side it but no, the putrid smell that hit us in the face from inside the pot was awful. It smelt of stale urine. We had to put the pot outside! •No baking trays provided. However there is 1 roasting tray but with a family of 4 this wasn’t enough. •1 plastic spatula provided, when making pancakes this item was inadequate as it started to melt. A metal spatula would be an added benefit!•Cobwebs - I know it’s a 17th Century cottage but the cobwebs that are in corners above beds and in the the bathroom would be easy to reach with a feather duster. •Bathroom (Downstairs)The paint work needs attention. It’s cracked and peeling in places. Possibly due to lack of ventilation when the shower is used. Maybe benefit from a fan or trickel vent. •Light Bulb- The wall light fitting in the kitchen to the left of the fridge freezer has 1 bulb out. It would have been an added benefit if blankets for the lounge were provided for evenings to make it even more cosy."

"I loved every minute of our holiday at Draenllwwynellen. The house is superb. When we arrived it was like walking into an oasis of calm. Every room was clean and beautifully furnished. We had been left a welcome selection of goodies including the basics but also lovely cake, biscuits, bread, jam and more. Many thanks to Debbie Davies for her kindness and readiness to help with any questions. We spent our evenings enjoying cooking and eating in the well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathroom with it’s beautiful bath was very inviting! We loved watching the cows in the field next to the house and looking across the valleys towards the Shropshire hills. At night we would watch the stars in the most beautiful clear sky. I also saw the most beautiful dawn of my life the first morning we were there. We went on several walks and visits during our stay... Offa’s dike at Knighton, the Devil’s chair at Stiperstones, Montgomery castle, Clun castle and Stokesay castle were among our highlights.I can’t really say anything other than great things about this house and the surrounding area. I hope to visit again in the future. Many thanks!"

"We had a lovely few days in the cottage, we met up with our family and although it rained the whole time we had great fun going out for the days and playing games in the evening. The cottage is well equipped to meet the needs of a family. The only problem we encountered was that it was difficult to control the temperature of the upstairs shower. However we all just used the downstairs shower so it wasn't too much of a problem. We had a lovely day out at the Big Pit and also a run on the Brecon National Railway. We enjoyed a tour of Talgarth Mill and the wee ones took part in a workshop within the Mill making rag rug sheep. We had a lovely meal in the Bridge End Inn where the owner made us very welcome. The food was excellent."

"A lovely comfortable and cosy cottage in a peaceful location. We arrived to find fresh flowers, cakes, tea, coffee, sugar and milk and juice in the fridge. A very welcome touch. The kitchen provided everything we needed for our weeks holiday. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. The neaest shop, the Co-op is only a 5 minute walk away There was also a couple of pubs and a very good fish and chip shop, all within walking distance. The surrounding country side is stunning and we enjoyed many walks, some of which started a short distance from the cottage. Many thanks to Keith and Eirwen for providing such a lovely holiday home."

"A group of us visited Llaethdy for a weekend away together and couldn’t fault the house. It was clean, great location, and good value for money. Mrs Jones even came out to visit us when we had arrived and changed one of the zip and link twins to a double as it was all couples staying. We were also welcomed with a mini hamper which was lovely. The village also has a co-op and some pubs which suited us well, and it’s a great location if you’re looking to do a few walks, no matter what ‘level’ of walker you are. Would highly recommend! Thank-you"
