"We had the most wonderful time at S20486. The owner was very friendly and showed us around - everything was ready for us.The welcome pack of scones, jam and clotted cream along with some scrumpy and milk in the fridge was lovely. The cottage was spotless and we had everything we could want and more - even tea bags and coffee were already there. The beds were comfy and the shower refreshing. There was plenty of room for four of us and the conservatory was a lovely place to sit in the morning or evening. Our children loved the big garden with plenty of room to play badminton and it had easy access to the drive to take bodyboards and wetsuits straight into the garden to dry. While the location was in the countryside and felt quiet, it was still not far to get into Bude town centre or to Morrisons for some groceries. We recommend a walk along the cycle track or canal towpath into Bude in the evening. It was only a mile each way and helped work off a meal or drink in the pub. I also used it as a short circuit for running. We loved Crooklets Beach and Widemouth Bay (best for bodyboarding) and both were an easy drive from S20486.We had very high hopes for S20486 and these were surpassed. We had a fabulous week there and would definitely return to S20486 when we holiday in Bude again."

"Wonderful stay at S20838. Absolute dream for those that appreciate the great outdoors. Very dog friendly and views to die for. The cottage is tastefully decorated with a cosy cornish cottage feel. Gina and John have thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We were given clear instructions on how to use the fire in the living room etc and the cottage provide lots of information on places to visit locally, shops etc . We were greeted with a cream tea on arrival which was very thoughtful. Although the garden is very small to the cottage, it is surrounded by at least 6 fields that are free of animals and can be used to walk your dogs. The double bedroom is extremely cosy and duvet extremely warm. One evening we had very high winds and we did not find the cottage drafty at all. If I was to knit pick I would say that the mattress on the double bed is a little squidgy but not a big issue for us at all. We had great weather for October too. Peace and tranquility and although we were attached to a family renting downhouse it was still extremely quite. We loved it and will be returning next year hopefully."

"We stayed at S20486 15th September 18. The cottage itself is lovely, it is very well equipped with everything you would need for a week inc towels, games, DVDs, shower gel, toilet rolls etc. The scones and welcome pack were lovely. There was myself and my partner and for us we found that the cottage was located in a great area, quiet and close to the cycle path into Bude. We would recommend driving to Wadebridge and cycling the camel trail into Padstow. We also went on a hike from Rectory Tea Rooms which is a 15 minute drivr from the cottage, they do a beautiful afternoon tea and are award winning! While you go to the rectory tea rooms you can also do the coastal path to see Hawkers hut. Thanks again Pauline it was a lovely stay. X"

"Stated that we wouldn’t stay here again -the distance from our home was a problem which obviously is our problem not yours. The main reason was that I’d booked a house with Superfast Broadband as I knew my son needed to work while his family were with us. The internet was not good at all, it kept stopping and this meant in the end that my son and family had to leave on the Tuesday evening, which upset the grandchildren and us.The house was nice and clean with good beds, bedding, towels etc and plenty of crockery and kitchen equipment but the sofas in the lounge were not comfortable, very short in depth and length and not enough seating for 8 of us in the evening when we were all together."

"Would have been nice to have a little milk and coffee as we arrived late and local restaurant/pub was no longer serving, nearest Asda supermarket is about 10miles away. We left some. We also left toilet roll as only half a role in the cottage. Needs a good deep clean, windows dirty, cobwebs and dust and dog hair on furniture in living area. Hanging basket with weeds and entrance poor. View onto farm yard. Some decent garden furniture would be good and implements for cleaning and cooking on the BBQ. Dog poo in the garden from owners dog which they did remove. Wifi mostly didn’t work and no phone signal in the house. Need to drive/bike to access any ameneties, nothing within a few miles."
