"I cannot express how impressed we were with this cottage. We walked in to find a home made cake, a bottle of wine and a fully decorated Christmas tree to welcome us. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. It was more than amply equipped with kitchenware, and full easily understood instructions are available for operation of all appliances and heating. The ensuite bedrooms upstairs are beautifully presented and spacious, as is the bedroom downstairs which is next to the family bathroom. Whilst there are no small children in our family, I can see that Kitty’s would be a fantastic holiday home for a young family as there are many games provided and play equipment outside. We arrived late evening from an international flight but there were enough basic provisions until we could get our grocery shop done. A previous guest had “complained” about the road being a bit rough? If you look at the cottage on the website, you can see it is on a farm holding so you should be prepared for a few bumps on the road, but I must stress it is only 150 yards after leaving the tarmacced road in any case. Don’t book a country cottage if you don’t want a few mud splashes on your car! We honestly felt at home during our week’s stay and will definitely be coming back again."

"Found that it was a bit sparse on cooking apparatus e.g. no baking tray except one suitable for roasting joint of meat (we only wanted to put some ready meals and a prep-prepared apple pie in the oven nothing fancy) and no tool to flip food except one meant for the barbecue. Everything else great though, lovely that they left us milk, cookies and nice flowers to welcome us. Met Alan twice during our stay - friendly, welcoming yet not intrusive. Location is down a very narrow lane - we were ok but if you have a sports car may be a bit close on the spoiler! The owners of "S80536" have made a fabulous job of the accommodation, exceptionally clean and well presented, furnished to a very good standard, the location of S80536 is what appealed to us most, We met the very nice owners on our arrival and we were asked to let them know if anything was needed, it was not, they had thought of everything, tea, lovely cookies and a vase of fresh flowers for our arrival, start of a lovely peaceful break There are public footpaths from a very short distance, and in every direction, walkers haven"

"Had and impromptu weeks break. I was a little bit worried after I had made the booking once I realised how close to Manchester and Stockport it was, but once we arrived I was not disappointed in the least. I was over the moon. We were in the middle of nowhere(sort of) surrounded by fields and horses and trees etc etc. The cottage is absolutely lovely.Everything that you need is there, from cooking equipment to towels. (Maybe could do with a small clothes horse). We were over the moon with the coal fire. The intention was to spend the week relaxing and the fire was an added bonus to our relaxation. I was soooo happy when I saw the shower in the master bedroom, I was worried that there was only gong to be a bath(I hate bathing). The conservatory was lovely, we spent many happy chilled hours in there watching the birds, eating breakfast and dinner and just generally enjoying the view. Even enjoyed watching the planes. The cottage and it's location are super."

"Hopefully I got the info how to get to the cottage with me as in the dark and coming from the opposite way(long lane)the satellite's car showed us the wrong place and it wasn't easy to find the cottage which we finally managed to find and it will be helpful to have its name signed on the main lane instead of on the farm track...or to have a number of the property so the satellite should take people to the right point! The cottage is well situated in the nature and closed to the city and facilities but car is required to reach them! Everything in the cottage is fine, clean and well thought for the comfort of guests(waterproof boots, umbrellas, indoor and outdoor games,2 living rooms so very handy when children around, all baby equipments-travel bed, high chair,toys-,washing machine,3very confortable bedrooms,3 WC,2 showers,1bath, Aga stove...) The best cottage we ever rented in England (6th experience)"
