"We love this little cottage. If you want to get right away from the rat race into the heart of the countryside, this little farm cottage is perfect. It is at the bottom of a farm track, so drive carefully. There is no wifi until half way down the track. The owners are lovely, friendly and helpful but not intrusive, and a mine of fascinating information. The Cotswold Way runs along the top of the farm boundary and there are plenty of attractive walks. A perfect place to bring your dog but beware, this is sheep country. The nearest town is Wotton-under-Edge, about 3 miles away where you can collect your supplies on the way back from a day out. There are several pubs serving food a short distance away.Wild life in abundance, perfect for birdwatchers. Lots of wonderful little villages and Slimbridge Wetland Centre close by. Recommend visiting Stroud, Castle Coombe, Cirencester, Nailsworth (try Williams Fish restaurant and the Olive Tree). The Somerset coast is roughly 40 miles away.We hope to return later this year - our 4th visit. Many thanks to Jim and Lucy for a great holiday."

"we had a lovely short stay in Pike cottage in october. Our hosts were very welcoming and offered us the use of their lovely garden to sit in if we wished. There was wine and chocolate for us on arrival, and some toiletries in the bathroom. The cottage is very cute and quaint with lots of history attached to it. Bed was lovely and comfortable , kitchen is small but fairly well equipped but we didnt intend on doing any cooking ! Huge bonus points are the village shop and the Pub which are literally right across the road . Only slight negatives were the traffic goes right past the door so you do notice that a bit and we did light the log fire but it smoked a bit through the cottage. Other than that it was lovely and a fab base for exploring the area!"

"Pike Cottage is an ideal location for visiting all the area has to offer, Malmesbury, Westonbirt, Slimbridge, and many others. The cottage has a very small kitchen and small bathroom - which is in need of refurbishment. The sitting room is fine for two with a nice open fire. Steep stairs lead to a larger bedroom with open-beamed ceiling, definitely the best room of the cottage. Located on a crossroad, morning and evening traffic can be quite noisy - but we expected that, and crossing to the car-park or the pub needs extra care. The local shop has a few essentials should you be eating at home, though larger supermarkets are not too far away. Overall a nice place to stay, just be aware of it's size, low doorways, steep stairs, and traffic noise."

"Angela the cottage owner is really nice and welcoming (but not at all intrusive). She goes the extra mile to make guests comfortable in what is a perfect holiday location... a quiet village just a few miles from Bristol and Bath, just off major roads, and a walk from the perfect village pub with good beer and superb cooking. Angela's welcome pack, for instance, included a home-baked loaf, nice jam, good coffees, butter, a range of normal and fruit teas, milk, biscuits, a bottle of Prosecco and everything necessary to build and light the open fire. What more could anyone want?"

"We had a peaceful and comfortable stay in a great little cottage amid beautiful surroundings, which is exactly what we were looking for. The owners were very friendly and helpful, offering some interesting, historical information about the local area. Within easy walking distance from the cottage was the Fleecepublic house where one could while away an hour or two in a very pleasantatmosphere. Shops and restaurants can be found a short drive away in Wotton-under-Edge.All in all a satisfying and relaxing break in a lovely part of the country.Would highly recommend it."
