Just back from a 2 night break at Avonmede.
We had a lovely time - the cottage was very cute and cozy, well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. The owners had left a welcome basket with butter, jam, marmalade, biscuits, bread and even a bottle of wine for us and provided a dog bed, biscuits and blanket for our pooch, which were all thoughtful touches. We thought it was funny that the dog bed was really for a much smaller dog than our German Shepherd but she tried to get into it nonetheless! The property is well positioned to easily walk around the town and down along side the river and is within easy reach of several pubs - one right opposite, which was very handy and dog friendly too. The hot tub is an added bonus, and it was lovely to relax in it after our long day out walking. I will be recommending to my friends and family with dogs - most excellent.

The Coach House delivered on all levels, exceeding our expectations and we had the most amazing week at this luxury holiday home. The property catered for our every need, super clean, extremely comfortable and the owners have gone above and beyond to ensure occupants feel at home and welcome. The property is ideally located and we visited many of the local towns and cities during our stay, with the added bonus of the use of their fabulous gardens, which our dog thoroughly enjoyed, especially meeting the donkeys, chickens and even two little lambs! This was our first time visiting this gorgeous part of England and we would definitely return to The Coach House in the future. A huge thank you to Emma for her warmth and welcoming us onto her property, we hope to see you again soon x

The place is beautiful - itâs actually larger than my house and so comfortable, fully stocked kitchen with all the facilities you need, the most comfiest beds and bedding & plenty of towels.
The living room is exceptionally cozy and large. Central heating & a wood burning fire for those cold nights. The hot tub was clean, warm and very relaxing. The venue itself if perfect, quiet & the owners kindly allow you to use their large garden with their rescue donkeys and chickens - my little boy loved visiting them and they are very friendly. It would be perfect in the summer with their Emma went out of her way to welcome us and give us recommendations on what we could do with our 1 year old too. My only warning which isnât a warning at all is be careful using the toilet at 1am half asleep since this is a period coachhouse, some of the ceilings are low with beams and I smashed my head off them a few times using the bathroom. Entirely my fault!

I canât speak highly enough of how incredible this setting is for a break!
We spent 9 days there and every part of experience was incredible. The little touches when you arrive and throughout the stay make it so special! Emma is so kind and accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and settled. An added bonus were the gorgeous animals in the shared garden which our 2 year old loved! She was allowed to help in feeding the rescue animals and even got to have a donkey ride! The coach house itself is a home from home, with so many amenities and nothing you could want or think of that it didnât have. With a hot tub to top it off I can honestly say we would recommend to anyone and want to return again in the future. Thanks so much for the most amazing stay! X

This is a really well designed and organised property, it is a good size for 2 people and has just about everything you could want.
It is very nicely decorated and although not large it is uncluttered so feels quite spacious..The owners of this property live just across the courtyard and are really friendly and helpful and able to provide useful local knowledge. This is a very good base for walkers and there are some excellent local walks and places to visit from here. It is convenient for Bourton on the water and Stow on the Wold, with good restaurants and supermarkets close by. The location, has convenient access to a main road but is sufficiently removed from it via a long private drive to make this an idyllic rural location
