"We had a really lovely 5 days at Bramble Cottage. The lodge is decorated beautifully and really feels like home away from home. We particularly loved the grounds in which the lodge is situated. There were some lovely welcoming touches such as two dishwater tablets, tea, coffee, milk sachets, sugar and coffee biscuits. The lodge is modern, clean and tastefully decorated. There is an abundance of wildlife around and we loved feeding the 6 ducklings and their mum that visited us every morning and evening. This lodge is ideally located for exploring the heart of North Wales. Betws Y Coed, Conwy and Llandudno are all within an hours drive away. The lodge is warm and cosy. The view out on to the lakes is very tranquil. This lodge is ideal for a peaceful break away from thr hustle and bustle of city and town life. We are already planning another stay at Bramble Lodge in March or April 2020. Thank you to Mr & Mrs Wolfe for providing us with a VERY lovely lodge and setting so as we could enjoy our break."

"The property is located less than 1 minute walk from a water treatment works (check google maps). The house is a decent size, our family of 5 however was not accommodated for. We couldn’t use a bedroom because of the unbearable stench coming from all of the animal droppings on the floor (photos below), thus my two daughters had to sleep on the sofa. The dishwasher that is advertised does not work, as it is not even attached to a water source, so ignore the advertisement on the cottage page. The deposit seemed very illegitimate, on the website it says £50 deposit, the owner asked for £100, and after looking at reviews others have been charged up to £150 for deposit! Be aware of paying deposit on this place due to its condition and poor sanitary levels. There is one bathroom and another en-suite shower only room, this shower leaks onto the master bedroom floor, not enough kitchen equipment for 5 people. Get pest control in, we are included in the last few guests who spotted rats by the bins"

"Overall the cottage was great with regard to the views, position and living space. Unfortunately we had not realised how small the double bedroom and bathroom are and that getting in and out of bed can be tricky because there is so little space at the sides. The bathroom is equally very small with hardly any room to manoeuvre. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed that we have ever slept in and I urge the owner to replace the mattress as a matter of urgency. It was extremely lumpy with a dip in the middle. The kitchen and hob had been refitted and were of high quality but the oven was old, in need of a good clean and did not reflect the standard of the other kitchen appliances. I was also disappointed by the very small fridge and freezer. Not very practical especially if you have planned to self cater. We did not receive a welcome pack due to the owner being away."

"This 4 person bungalow had comfortable beds and a view of a field containing two horses from the kitchen. We discovered this was equipped with the barest minimum of everything throughout. 4 plates, 4 spoons, 4 glasses, small towels etc. The place is old fashioned throughout with a slight musty smell and we noticed the walls, wooden doors and the skirting were in need of a decent spring clean. The kitchen/diner was clean but equipped with gold rimmed crockery that cannot be used in the microwave! This was queried with the owner who explained there were 2 bowls and a couple of plastic boxes for the microwave. The information folder needs updating especially as it contains leaflets from 2004/5! The overall impression was that the barest minimum was being provided in every way. We are sad about this as the owners seemed very nice."

"Jenny and the family gave us a lovely warm welcome at Dan y Coed . A quaint rustic property along a very short track just off the main road between Aberaeron and Aberystwyth . It was very clean, with a cosy, homely feel, and with two double bedrooms, and one single it suited our particular needs perfectly. The bedrooms were large and spacious as was the rest of the property, which included a large open plan lounge, Kitchen/Diner, with the kitchen being very well equipped. The decor and furniture throughout is country charm, rather than modern cutting edge, however for us that only added to the overall charm. The location was excellent for exploring the local area, with even a small glimpse of a sea view from the front window . Would we stay there again? yes of course.!!"
