Mrs Jayne Gardner - verified booking
"We were walking the coastal path so it was ideally situated at the beginning of the walk in Amroth. Nice size for two people and a dog. We booked the cottage at fairly short notice for a week to walk some of the Pembrokeshire coastal path - if you want a short walk during your stay, start at Amroth and walk to Saundersfoot or on to Tenby and return on the train to Kilgetty and then a taxi back to the cottage.. Ideally situated for the start of the walk. Within easy access of Amroth - suggest the Amroth Arms if you wish to eat out as they have an excellent choice and friendly staff. Although the property is situated within the owners site, this did not feel intrusive. Very clean and it was ideal for two of us and a dog. Good to find a property that is in excellent condition where they will accept pets. Would recommend Well maintained, very clean, good facilities. "

"The view over the bay and across to central Wales was why we booked this property and it didn't disappoint, although the hedge between us and the left hand neighbor restricted this but provided privacy. Its a good walk up from the town but worth it. We only go to Abersoch for sailing holidays and its very busy. We didn't even try to eat out, everywhere looked so busy and we would probably have had to book. We were two couples sharing the property and it worked well with a non-en-suite bathroom each on the ground floor just inside the front door - ideal for dinghy sailors coming in in wet suits etc. Holiday home type furniture but perfectly adequate. Would book again but would be expensive for a single family. "

"Thanks again Walwyns Castle Community for the beautiful cottage. We have had a wonderful stay and blessed with 7 days of fabulous weather. The summer duvets were very necessary - thank you! Spent most of the week on our favourite beaches, building sandcastles and body boarding, what we call a perfect Pembrokeshire day! Tried new places to eat this year - The Castle in Little Haven (booking necessary), The Milton Brewery do an amazing Sunday lunch and if you're stuck and nowhere is available try The Jolly Sailor, you may have to sit in the back garden but the view is amazing and food really good. We'll be back again."

"We've lost track of how many times we've stopped in Ty Melyn, certainly over 10 years. It's always so warm, clean and has everything you could need. The weather has not been a complete wash out but not exactly what you'd expect in August. A couple of wetsuits from Tesco saved the day and the boys have enjoyed the sea most days. We have caught a few fish, crabs and other sea life in the rock pools on the beach and a tiny fish in the stream at St David's. Enjoyed seeing the penguins at Folly Farm and had our usual trips for fish and chips to Somethings Cooking at Letterston."

"Thank you for the beautiful flowers and card. We really enjoyed our stay in your lovely bungalow. It's so clean, cosy and comfy. Couldn't believe how peaceful it was there, had some lovely nights sleep. Beautiful view too. Walked to the nature reserve and other days out all day walking in hills. We were lucky with beautiful weather. We stayed for 5 nights from Wed 17th April and left Bank Holiday Monday - hope we left it as clean as we found it! Hopefully be coming again. We've not been to the Elan Valley for over 6 years and forgot how beautiful it is. Thank you again. "
