"Rosehill was ideally situated just on the edge of Abergele, but within a 5 minute walk of the town centre and the facilities there. This was our second stay here, so knew what to expect and what we did and didn't need to bring. Bedrooms and type of beds were good and comfy. However, we couldn’t use the ensuite room on this occasion as it contained the only shower and so would disturb others when it was used, which is a bit of a drawback when the house can accommodate quite a few people. Lounge was large but cosy, and the electric heater helped top up the warmth when needed. Kitchen was nice and large, plenty of crockery and cutlery etc (although thought a few utensils and cooking pots were missing from last year). Plenty of fridge and freezer storage, and the washing machine and tumble dryer were very useful. Grateful that tablets were provided for the dishwasher as we had forgotten our own! Plenty of parking, and the key collection arrangements make a late arrival possible without having to disturb the owner. It was very clean on the whole, and leaving a hoover out helped us to try and keep it that way!A few things the owners may want to consider for the future: The Wi-Fi router struggles to cover the lounge end of the house, a Wi-Fi extender would sort that out (I rigged one up for our stay knowing this from last year, and it worked a treat). A shower in the other bathroom would be great so no one in the ensuite bedroom gets disturbed when others need one. There are lots of light switches everywhere (particularly the ones by the main inner door) that didn't seem to operate anything - think some of them operated bulbs that had blown (there were a few blown bulbs throughout the house in case not aware). Maybe a refresh of the TV and radio for next year, the TV does look a little dwarfed by the size of the main lounge! These bits would just help perfect the place, but in no way should other people be put off from staying here otherwise. We would definitely stay here again, and may well do so next year. Highly recommend it for people wanting to stay on the North Wales coast, but it's also great for Snowdonia and inland areas. For food we recommend The Bull Hotel, the first pub you find when walking to the town centre and well within walking distance!"

"Loved this house. Settled in very quickly. Clean and spacious home, beautiful surroundings. Very well equipped and comfortable. Really pleased with all aspects of booking. The homeowner, Rae, emailed us one week before our check in to suggest meeting us just off the main road to lead us through the narrow (quiet) country roads. Questions regarding the property were answered quickly and concisely, and all details we needed were provided. On arrival we were delighted to find everything & more that we could want for our stay. Kitchen was very well equipped, and thoughtful extras provided throughout the house to enhance our stay. Stairgates, travel cots, toys, games, books, CD's & DVDs, hairdryers, towels, linen & even fairylights on the balcony! Leaflets for local attractions, and even a lovely photobook documenting the history of the cottage. A wonderful base to explore from. Many many local attractions/towns/sights. We visited national trust properties, castles, infamous villages, and many of the 'local' mountains, railways & museums. We would gladly return here as there were so many other attractions that we just didn't have time to see in one week. The location itself is amazing: peace and quiet, and wonderful views and countryside. The furniture is modern and comfortable, we all slept very well! Masses of space for 4 adults and 3 children. Rae, the homeowner is very accessible and helpful. He encourages feedback and portrayed a genuine keen interest in making our stay as close to perfect as possible. This was a wonderful holiday. We could not have wished for anything more on our stay. Totally in-keeping with this holiday home owners helpful attitude, Rae even posted a book and certificate that my daughter had left behind. 100% over and above what we would expect. Would highly recommend this holiday to families."

"Our party was two families. (4 adults, 1 eight year old, 2 toddlers and a baby.) Booking through Sykes Cottages was very smooth and the advice they gave was excellent. The owner Rae was very helpful in the lead up to our visit answering all our questions. Rae met us just off the motorway to let us follow him to the property which was a huge help. The house was spotless and far larger than the photos portray. The house is ideal for families as there is a massive lounge, large dining room and a study/playroom along with a very large enclosed garden which our kids loved to run around in. The kitchen is modern and extremely well equipped. The views from the property are amazing and there is lots of wildlife in the garden and in the fields around which was great for the kids to see. Although you feel as if you are in the remote countryside, you are only 3min drive from Colwyn Bay where there are lots of shops etc. The location was also ideal for accessing the whole of the north coast of Wales. Llecha exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it. P.S. Here are a few tips. Tesco deliver to this house. Llandudno is well worth a visit and there is lots to do. Great swimming pool at the Sun Centre in Rhyl. Cheshire Oaks Outlet Centre isn’t too far away. The local Chinese “The Semaphore Lodge” has amazing food. (20min walk) There are lots of lovely walks in the area."

"We had a wonderful time at Frankcot. The owners were really helpful and even left us a home-made cake and bottle of wine in a welcome pack. The beds were made-up and clean when we arrived, there were towels for everyone, the summer house was lovely, the house was tidy and clean and they even left us some milk in the fridge and a toilet roll for the bathroom. ASDA (with a petrol station) is a short walk away and so is a shopping complex with some good shops. There is a really nice pub, The Links, 5 minutes walk away that does great food and welcomes families. It's also good for a quiet evening drink for the adults. The house is in a quiet area and is a short drive from the centre of Llandudno or a do-able walk if you prefer. It's easy to access the roads out of town from here and is a good base for visiting the whole of the North coast and right across to Chester. The only slight downside is that there is quite a bit of on-street parking but we could have found a space if we'd needed it. We were able to reverse into the driveway so parking wasn't an issue for us but the driveway would be a bit tight for anything bigger than a Ford Focus. It was our first house rental and visit to Llandudno and we had such a good time we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends."

"The owner went out of his way to meet us at an easy meeting point and show us local pub, restaurant etc. It's a 4 bedroom house ideal for 2 families sharing - 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms - 8 beds altogether. Ensuite shower to one bedroom and family bathroom upstair plus toilet downstair. It's the minimum you need for 8 to be honest but it's quite adequate. Lovely roomy kitchen and sitting room. Large dining table in the dining room plus another good size table in the kitchen. Large smart TV in lounge and 3 other TV's in rooms down stairs. Good games room with bar-football - a hit with the kids. You have all the machines you need - Washing machine, Dryer, Dishwasher etc. But best of all is the location, location, location. Just beautiful. All the rooms have huge windows to see out on to a vale of green patchwork grazing fields mainly full of - you guessed it - sheep ! No neighbours - hardly any traffic down the road. Connectivity - some mobile networks poor but Wi-fi is provided. We had a brilliant 2 weeks here and although you feel for the first couple of times it is too far in the sticks, actually you are only 5 minutes from the motorway of North Wales the Nth Wales Expressway and from there you can be to most of the attractions within 45 minutes max."
