What our customers are saying about our Bank Holiday Self Catering Holidays In Norfolk.
Lynne - verified booking
"the waiting rooms is a fabulous place to stay, especially if you have 2 dogs. we had a working guide dog and a retired guide dog with us and they loved the huge garden to play in. we loved the garden too as it was very secure and the location is very peaceful. the cottage itself is lovely and just the right size for 2 people with 2 dogs. very clean and looks quite new. our only grumble, if there was any at all, was the lack of cupboard space in the kitchen for our grocery shopping, but this wasn't insurmountable and didn't detract from our enjoyment of the cottage. the owners live next door in the station house and they are a lovely friendly couple. our youngest guide dog was fascinated by their young labarador pups. we didn't use the pub or the shop in the village so can't comment on those. Cawston is about 16 miles or so from the coast and not much further to Norwich so easy to venture out. we had a ride on the steam train from Sheringham to Holt and were lucky enough to meet a lovely old chap who had been a steam train driver and had actually driven his train through Cawston station when it was still working. he told us quite a few tales about it. all in all we will be back if we get the chance as it was perfect for the dogs. thank you."

"This cottage is quite new for rent therefore all the equipment, particularly in the kitchen, are of a good quality. It has a sizeable garden to exercise the dog and is situated a short walk from the village centre. There is a local Costcutter supermarket, a pub (not dog friendly) and a deli/cafe but that’s about it. Nevertheless, the location is good as a short drive gets you to a number of National Trust properties and the North Norfolk coast plus the Broads are not far away. Give Great Yarmouth a miss, not worth it!The owners are pleasant, personable people not at all intrusive. They provide a welcome pack which is a nice touch. Overall, this is a property that suits a couple with one or two dogs who seek a quiet break away from home. Recommended."

"The house was very clean, spacious and had nice comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we could want (the eggs, cake and milk on arrival were much appreciated). The garden was pleasant and secluded, with a nice patio area for sitting outside when the weather permitted. The owner and her daughter were friendly and welcoming. "

"The cottage was an absolute delight, being very well presented and fitted, providing a very homely place in which to spend a week whilst exploring this beautiful part of Norfolk. The location is excellent, being a few minutes drive from the historic town of Holt, and also close to coastal resorts of Sherringham and Cromer. "
