What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Ray Hughes - Verified booking

The cottage was very clean and had the basics we would have expected. The person who does the changeovers is clearly doing a good job. The area is beautiful and we visited many great places. However, we felt that this cottage was overpriced for the standard of the fixtures and contents. The towels have all seen better days, there was only one tea towel to last four people a week, the kitchen knives are blunt and all the interior doors and handles are cheap and flimsy and creak loudly, which meant no one could lie-in if others were up. One bedroom door can only be shut properly by slamming it. The dining table is squeezed into a small area which meant that with four people at least one person had to get up to allow others in or out of the space. Before booking holiday cottages we always check that all fuel and electricity is included in the price. Your description states that logs are "provided" but in fact it is only a starter pack of logs that is provided. This should be made clear. We wondered why no previous reviews had mentioned any of these issues, so we re-checked the website. Having checked over twenty different properties on your website we did not find a single review with any comment that could be deemed even slightly negative. Clearly you are cherry-picking the reviews you allow your customers to see. The kindest way to describe this practice is misleading, some might say it is simply dishonest. For this reason we would not use your company again.

Property was in a great spot in the centre of Llanberis - everything was accessible on foot (shops, restuarant, Llyn Padarn, Mountain Railway etc) so it was nice to park the car and leave it there!

Would have been useful to have the house name on the rear of the property as confirmation that we were parking in the right spot. Easy to access the property from rear parking space. Keysafe system and access was all straightforward and as per instructions. House had plenty of space for 5 of us (2 adults, three children). Note that the single room has a narrower bed (ie not a standard single.) Goodies left to welcome us were appreciated (kids were very happy!) - thanks for those. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, peppper are all provided. There was butter and milk in fridge and bread provided too. Bedrooms - beds were comfortable, note that there are many feather pillows and this unfortunately aggravated my allergies, leaving me wheezing for our stay. The double bed has a King size duvet which meant it was very heavy due to hanging so far down the sides. Cleaning was mainly good. Heating was good, would be needed less if some of the draughty holes were filled in though! Big cold gusts coming in down the side of the cooker and through cupboards in middle living room - lots of dust blown through too so games and books were all covered in it - these need cleaning up. Lovely friendly owner popped in to check we were ok. Overall, a lovely place to say, and very well placed if you're running Snowdonia Marathon!

This cottage is located in a very special place, so beautiful and peaceful, with the mountains of Snowdon outside the windows and the sound of the stream from the garden. A pub serving food is 2 minutes walk away! The cottage is very spacious and well equipped. They even provided enough toilet paper and cleaning supplies, dish washer tablets, soap etc, all the essentials that you sometimes have to bring with you on a self catering holiday were already there! We loved the welcoming hamper on arrival, lovely surprise! Our dog loved it too and was safe to roam in the enclosed garden area. Definitely recommend and if we come back to this area, would definitely stay here again. Hot tub was perfect after a hike on the mountains! Loved it! A perfect holiday retreat!

    • Mr Robinson - Verified booking

This cottage is a charming place, steeped in warm family history and set in the most idyllic of landscapes. Every single window offers breathtaking views, especially the ones from the back of the cottage that look up at Cwm Glas Bach and Clogwyn Station! There are so many hiking options directly from the door of the cottage, including a (challenging!) route directly to the summit of Snowdon. One of the best things about the cottage is that it has direct access to the incredible mountain streams and waterfalls which are great for cold water plunges or simply just meditating next too. Also, at night there are wonderful views of the Milky Way. Honestly, this is a magical, warm and cozy hideaway which will really appeal to lovers of the wild Welsh mountains!

    • Mrs Denholm-Price - Verified booking

Lovely little cottage in a really wonderful location whether you are serious walkers or less able strollers (like me) you can have a lovely walk directly from the door. Views in all directions are just amazing and if you don't want to hill walk then you are only a short drive from some wonderful attractions. Would highly recommend the Hidden Gardens in Menai and the Anglesey lighthouse as well as the local slate museum, lake train and the Osprey Centre. Just check your car is suitable for the terrain as the track to the cottage is very much a track with a couple of tight spots and a tricky turning circle (out C-HR just about managed it though only because my hubby is a calm and collected driver, I walked up :-))
