"Just the place to unwind and rest away from everything. We don't live far away but the lodge was so lovely with everything you need for a relaxing break. Best of all it was great for our dog to have fun straight from the door without getting in the car. Plenty of amenities in Lincoln and we went to the coast at Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea. Louth is worth a visit as it is a great place to stroll around. We are fairly local but to look out of the bifold doors onto a sea of wild flowers was truly wonderful. The only thing we found a bit difficult was the size of the fridge as we took food with us so we didn't have to shop while there. However it was fine as we ate out a lot. Doddington Hall is well worth a visit with lots of different areas to eat. The weather was warm but I am sure in the winter it would be lovely and cosy. The bed was comfortable and it had two lovely sofas which reclined which we found really relaxing. It was spotlessly clean and I was glad of the dishwasher so I did not do any washing up which was a treat."

"We really enjoyed staying in this lovely wooden cabin. The open plan living area had lots of room for the kids to run about. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. The exposed wooden beams and high ceiling really made the place feel really spacious. If it had been summer I'm sure we would have enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace...but it was too cold in October. It was very good value. We could of done with a brighter bulb in the lamp in the living area for reading. We did struggle a bit with the door locks too, but the site manager was very friendly and only too happy to help. I loved the fact that there was no wifi :-) The site itself was nice and well kept. When I booked it I thought it was nearer a beach, as it is not far from the coast, but actually the beaches are about 30 mins away (thus I gave a lower score for location...but I should of done my research better). We really enjoyed it and would be happy to return."

"Lovely peaceful place with great fishing. The lodge is well equipped with everything you need and beds are really comfy. Not so good points.... We did find that the hot tub had way too much chlorine in, burnt our eyes some days just sitting in it. The WIFI isn’t the best, would just go off completely sometimes and because it’s shared we had no access. We also had some problems with the waste systems. The toilets were blocked and caused the system to back up into the bath tub! The owners did sort the problem pretty fast but the insult then smelt of sewage for the rest of the week. Very close to Skegness. Found it very difficult to get any takeaway or a nice restaurant, so had to go into Skegness most days so would recommend doing a food shop and cooking. We had a lovely time despite some of the issues and would recommend for anybody wanting a quite break away but wouldn’t recommend for young children as there isn’t anywhere they can run around freely."

"This is a very unusual holiday experience; driving into a dark yew-shaded churchyard to be faced by rows of gravestones, and stumbling into the nave of a church is not the standard holiday cottage! However the conversion is sympathetic, and the 'cottage' is well equipped and comfortable. The drawbacks are implicit in the setup - basically it is one large room, with two large solid balconies with beds etc on each. The kitchen is in the former chancel area, sitting area in the middle and dining at the near end of the nave, as is the bathroom. Everything is solid and quite appropriate, although standing on a memorial stone while doing the washing up takes adjustment. It's a really lovely location, apple trees behind the church and a pond, sitting areas. The farm next door is not obtrusive, and the Old Rectory is close enough if one needs it but not bang on the doorstep. It's very quiet."

"This 'cottage' is almost unrecognisable from the photos which must be several years old, the ivy on front wall is nearly to the top, garden was overgrown with brambles across the entrance and dog faeces on the grass, rear garden also overgrown with rubbish and broken glass on the lawn. Interior was dirty and damp, particularly in the hall, no door mats in entrances, kitchen surfaces and utensils were dirty, cooker does not have any display or temperature guide around controls, no exterior lights or lights inside entrances were working, several other lights not working, no coat hooks, no towel rail in kitchen or w.c., extractors in bathroom and w.c. not working, bathroom window would not close and that is just some of the problems. Do not book this place on the strength of the photos as it looks totally different now."
