"Providing you follow the owner's directions and don't rely on SatNav, the cottage was easy to find. Parking is a short distance away from the entrance. It's an old farm cottage building, which has been tastefully decorated and furnished (in 2015, we think). There's nothing from Ikea here; instead you'll find Next, JosephJosept, John Lewis, etc. Spacious enough for two and, yes, it could be described as romantic. We would have preferred more choice over lighting in the combined sitting room and kitchen. With only wall lights and lights inside the top of the kichen cupboards (plus spotlight over the sink), it felt gloomy and over time, depressing. The small windows meant that there was little natural light; some recessed lighting in the ceiling would have made it much better. Very comfortable bed and an "okay" shower. We were not blown over by the strange sink, but it served its purpose. The "cottage garden" was principally an area of decking. Once we'd managed to turn off the water feature, we enjoyed the sound of the birds. Conveniently situated for visiting both the west and east coasts of Cornwall, we clocked up quite a few miles. Didn't manage to find a nearby sandy beach, but Looe and Newquay were not too far away. Would recommend to a friend only if the lighting and location had been better."

" . which was fine as we called reception and they arranged for another one to be delivered.. whilst we were waiting for that I thought I would give our baby a bath, however there was no hot water.. the boiler had broken we later found out so no heating either, after the plumber came out he said we had to move lodges as couldn’t stay in a lodge with no heating with a 7 month old! Reception were really good and moved us to a different lodge, but by the time we got there and moved all our stuff it was 9:15 so we felt like we lost a whole evening of our weekend away which was disappointing.. we understand these things happen but it was a lot of money to us and we feel some compensation would be appreciated.. Thanks Ella smart "

"This cottage was absolutely stunning! Bought as a Christmas gift from my husband I immediately looked at the pictures online and the were beautiful but when we arrived I was astounded by its beauty inside and out. Such a wonderful location and the peace and quiet was just what we needed. The kitchen area was just outstanding and the polka dot crockery collection was fabulous! Going upstairs to our beautiful bedroom was thee most comfortable bed in the whole wide world and a lovely wood fire burner. Then came my favourite part of the cottage, the fabulous corner bath and a stunning sink, have never seen such a beautiful sink. Whether you use this cottage as a stop gap or a romantic retreat it certainly is worth a stay!!"

" There was a strong WiFi signal but reception said the owners had not signed up to fibreoptic connection so we were unable to use it. No mobile signal at all. Cleanliness: disappointed. Found bowls with mould in top cupboard which we cleaned up. Coffee granules spilt in cupboards. Cracked ovenware, seemed to have been glued together. Dirty baking sheets Some basic cutlery like kitchen scissors missing. Broken clock on top of master bedroom wardrobe. Odd positioning of a large mirror against wall in what would commonly be used as a children’s bedroom. Shower door leaked every time onto wooden floor. Dog hair behind sofa (removable) "

" The cabin was extremely well laid out and all our needs were catered for. To start each day with a cup of tea on the balcony just listening to the birds - perfect - only to be followed by sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine listening to the birds going to sleep. A day spent visiting the surrounding area ( all attractions close by) to return to base and relax in the hot tub - heaven. The on site restaurant providing take away of excellent quality, and lovely area to book a meal and enjoy a lake side view. The holiday was lovely and the accommodation was perfect, one to remember. "
