"Providing you follow the owner's directions and don't rely on SatNav, the cottage was easy to find. Parking is a short distance away from the entrance. It's an old farm cottage building, which has been tastefully decorated and furnished (in 2015, we think). There's nothing from Ikea here; instead you'll find Next, JosephJosept, John Lewis, etc. Spacious enough for two and, yes, it could be described as romantic. We would have preferred more choice over lighting in the combined sitting room and kitchen. With only wall lights and lights inside the top of the kichen cupboards (plus spotlight over the sink), it felt gloomy and over time, depressing. The small windows meant that there was little natural light; some recessed lighting in the ceiling would have made it much better. Very comfortable bed and an "okay" shower. We were not blown over by the strange sink, but it served its purpose. The "cottage garden" was principally an area of decking. Once we'd managed to turn off the water feature, we enjoyed the sound of the birds. Conveniently situated for visiting both the west and east coasts of Cornwall, we clocked up quite a few miles. Didn't manage to find a nearby sandy beach, but Looe and Newquay were not too far away. Would recommend to a friend only if the lighting and location had been better."

"The lady who owned swift cottage had gone to great lengths to make our stay a lovely experience. There were fresh flowers in all the rooms, it was spotlessly clean. and there was not an amenity that was not available to use, a real home from home. This was the first time we had stayed in a cottage in the UK and we were really spoilt. It was quiet, and really relaxing, the weather was also kind to us raining only on the Tuesday. We went out to various towns and villages around Cornwall, (Looe, Talland Bay,Par, Polperro, Mevagissey, and Padstow, and enjoyed all of the quaint little places very much. The cottage is ideally situated to with accessibility to most beaches, in the area, we did eat out in a few pubs/restaurants around Cornwall and would highly recommend The Fountain Inn at Mevagissey for fish and chips. All in all it was a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend Swift Cottage for a nice, romantic beautiful stay. Well done Mel for looking after us in a very welcoming way. "We stayed at Swift Cottage from 8th to the 15th July 2017. We opened the door and immediately we fell in love with it. On a big message board was a WELCOME message written by Mel and as she knew it was our Golden Wedding with the help of our Daughters she had left us a bottle of Presecco in the fridge and a card to celebrate how thoughtful of her. The cottage was perfect and a welcome pack was there which was so nice including, milk, Cornish ginger biscuits, teabags bottle of Cornish cider, coffee, jam . In every room there was a vase of fresh flowers the cottage was perfect. We could not recommend this cottage enough spotlessly clean and lots of quirky bits and pieces around. The garden was lovely and lot of thought had been put into it. There were solar lights and electric lights outside making it so peaceful and romantic perfect for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We would recommend Swift Cottage to our friends and family. we are looking at booking it again next year !!"

"Initially we were concerned as the garden was not completely enclosed as described and our 2 small dogs were able to escape. This was eventually rectified by the owner after contacting him. Poor WiFi unable to accommodate multiple users so beware if you have teenagers also very little mobile signal. Downstairs bed in particular was uncomfortable and noisy kids complained about springs in their mattresses. Overall though thought the property and location was ideal for us. Showers were excellent especially after a day at the beach, and we had all the comforts of home. Lots of information about things to do locally inside the property. It’s worth noting that this property is attached to other farm conversions and there are other people around as we thought this was more isolated. This was not a problem and there was a small communal swing system. Parking was easy take note of directions as property was initially tricky to locate. Definitely consider coming back."

"A great holiday house with everything we needed. The house was very spacious and the pool table was good fun. The house is located in a peaceful and rural location. There are farms opposite the house. The road leading down to the house is a track. The outdoor private decking area is nice for sitting out on a nice day. It's great that the house is dog friendly but you need to keep on your dog out on the outdoor decking area so that they don't jump over the top as the fence isn't very tall. The beds were alright. The broadband connection was very slow but no fibre broadband services are available there so that can't really be helped. The house is about a 15 minutes drive away from Looe. There is a Spar convinience store in Pelynt which is about a 10 minutes drive and a Morrisons supermarket in Liskeard about a 15 minutes drive away. The best dog friendly beach we found was Par Sands Beach PL25 5DS which is about a half an hour drive away."
