"We arrived on the day before christmas eve and normally you check in after 3pm but the owners kindly let us check at 4pm due to my sons medical needs so thank you both very much. We was suprised and very greatful the beautiful welcome goodie pack that was left by the lovely owners including the lovely christmas card which i regret to say i accidently left behind. We had a beautiful amazing christmas and it was very very very cosy. The cottage was beautiful and equipped with everything could possibly need and again thank you for the beers that was left for us also. It was our first ever time in a cottage and it certainly wont be our last. We have left seagull cottage with beautiful festive special memories and we will be returning. Also i would like to thank the owner sharon for personally posting back my little boys toy car for us, thank you ever so much. I would recommend to anybody xxxxxxx"

"This house is in Carisbrooke. The castle is clearly visible from the rear. The house is tastefully decorated and the kitchen is extremely well appointed. Beds are all very comfortable and there is ample parking for three cars; four at a pinch. My only complaint is that the lighting in all rooms except the kitchen is low, rather like a typical hotel room; economy bulbs of very low wattage. This is fine for television, but it you want to read in the evenings, you need to go into the kitchen. I have recommended an easy solution; two uplighters, one at either end of the delightful long and large living-room.Outside, there is a beautiful garden at several levels and fish in a pond. There are two sets of tables and chairs, so one can select sunlight or shade at any time of the day. Bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed. We would most willingly hire this house again. Highly recommended!"

"Bathrooms- downstairs shower door would not open or close, rendering bathroom un usableupstairs - shower heads in both bathrooms leaked constantly, making waterspillages everywhere. Bathrooms were tired, and showers had many layers of white sealant ontop of each other allaround shower cubicles, flooring was lifting. ventilation fans did not work in each bathroom. There was no dishwasher in kitchen, but a hole where it had been, there was no instruction book for washing machine (there was an instruction book for non existant dishwasher)no storage for clothes in twin bedroom, we had to request a coffee table. There were signs on the decking saying 'slippery when wet' but the decking was actually trecherous when wet and we all had some nasty falls on it. It needs looking at"

"Our cottage was switched to another one on arrival, as there was some problem with the heating in the one we'd booked. It became apparent, however, that the replacement wasn't ready for occupation either, with the fire detectors going off - on reporting the fault, an engineer arrived to correct this. We also questioned a significant damp patch on the carpet in the main bedroom by the shower-room door, which the engineer confirmed he would report. The next morning, water was dripping through the lounge ceiling. The leak was repaired that day, although a mess remained on the living room ceiling throughout the week and was not corrected. The shower doors in the property were also very difficult to open/close and the showers were generally small and did not function well."

"A truly homely, spacious cottage with delightful garden to spend relaxing time in (even in October we were able to sit outside twice and enjoy the sun after spending the exploring the island) On the one very wet day we had much enjoyment choosing videos and books from the many on offer. The owner had done everything possible to make this a home from home in all respects and we would have no hesitation in recommending it as a place to spend time in and to come back to after getting out and about to see the delights of the island. We also appreciated the fact that with Tesco a short distance by car one way and the Coop the other, we were able to self cater with ease."
