"We had a lovely stay here. The cottage was beautiful, on arrival we got our keys and was hoping to be able to park our car outside the cottage, being that we were paying for the V.I.P cottage I would have hoped that would have been the case and with kids, it would have made it allot easier with all the extra baggage you have to carry but the walk wasn't too far anyway. Walking into the cottage it was presented beautifully, everywhere was lovely and clean and it was decorated really well too. The beds were comfy but a bit too soft! which isn't always a bad thing but I guess it depends on your mattress preference.Later on when giving our toddler a shower she pulled off the drain cover which revealed it was full of hair which was pretty gross but that was the only dirty thing we found in the place! Also being that it's a VIP cottage would have thought it would have come with a bath and shower instead of just stand up shower but I guess you can't have it all! also I did see that was noted on the page before we purchased and was fine with that. The hot tub was beautiful and clean, it would have been nice if it had a full path to the hot tub rather than slabs between pebbles as in the dark going back it is sometimes hard to see and you end up stepping on all the stones which isn't fun. Also the light that turns on in the garden whilst you're in the hot tub was directed straight at the hot tub and because it was so bright was quite irritating after a while, it would have been nice if it was slightly pointed away from the hot tub so it wasn't SO direct. We ended up covering it with clothes half the time because the light in the hot tub was good enough for us!I enjoyed the little things that was in the cottage on arrival such as butter in the fridge with some milk, ice cubes in the freezer, isle of wight bread, two kitchen rolls, washing liquid and sugar, tea and coffee. Really lovely little freebies that added some home comforts on arrival. Also loo roll! Which is always a bonus. Overall it was a lovely stay and I would recommend it to anyone and would love to come again."

"The location of the property was lovely. The bedroom layout was slightly strange although the details were technically accurate it was still not what I was expecting. The blind in the ensuite bedroom was broken and could not be used which meant anyone sleeping in that room was awake at dawn. The bedroom with the captains bed was very small and I had not realised at the time of booking that a "captains bed" means a very small bed. My 5 year old was too tall to sleep in it, which left us with a bedroom problem - one double bedroom not useable due to the blind and another room due to the smallness of the bed.Other points were also slightly disappointing. The fitted fridge in the kitchen has problems with the door that doesn't shut properly so the food was hardly chilled. The apple TV remote was missing so this could not be used. Wi-Fi did not cover the entire property and (unsurprisingly given the remote location) was incredibly slow. There was insufficient Toilet roll at the property - each bathroom/lavatory had at least part of a roll on arrival but no spares.Location was lovely and the house is very nice and we had a good holiday. However, given the cost of the property it is a shame that the little details let it down."

"The only thing we were not satisfied with was the fact that Sykes charged us a booking fee twice when we booked the cottage for 2 weeks. We do not agree with this policy. We challenged this when we booked and explained that we use Sykes a lot but were still told we had to pay a double booking fee. In the past we have booked with other companies for 2 weeks and only had to pay 1 booking fee. When you book for 2 weeks it is only 1 transaction so why should you have to pay twice? The cottage itself exceeded expectations. It was spacious, clean and well-equipped. The views were lovely and the whole complex well-maintained. Steve Harvey was there to meet us and explained everything when we arrived and also spoke to us before we left. The central situation of the cottage was an added bonus as it was never very far to anywhere we wanted to visit. The weather also contributed to the success of the holiday - only 1 wet day in two weeks. We would certainly return to the cottage again."

"The village of Niton was just perfect and the location of this property was fantastic. Everything was great except this is really only suitable for two people. The chalet in our opinion was in need of some TLC and indeed there were others in the small complex that were of a much higher standard. We appreciate that it's difficult to keep clean with visitors etc and also being located in a very rural area and setting but on arrival I had to spend at least an hour removing spiders, webs and having a general clean. In particular the shower area needs attention. The chalet had everything we needed for the week and we were only using it as a base so didn't eat at there. Storage space was also very limited and consequently we lived out of a suitcase as out daughter made use of what storage there was. There was also very limited towel hanging space so ended up using the plastic chairs outside. I feel sure that with some redecoration this place will be just fine."

"We arrived on the day before christmas eve and normally you check in after 3pm but the owners kindly let us check at 4pm due to my sons medical needs so thank you both very much. We was suprised and very greatful the beautiful welcome goodie pack that was left by the lovely owners including the lovely christmas card which i regret to say i accidently left behind. We had a beautiful amazing christmas and it was very very very cosy. The cottage was beautiful and equipped with everything could possibly need and again thank you for the beers that was left for us also. It was our first ever time in a cottage and it certainly wont be our last. We have left seagull cottage with beautiful festive special memories and we will be returning. Also i would like to thank the owner sharon for personally posting back my little boys toy car for us, thank you ever so much. I would recommend to anybody xxxxxxx"
