"First Time to IOW for over 30 years. Ferry crossing excellent. Short journey 30 mins from all ferry terminals. Roads can get a bit conjested at times particlarly in resorts double parking is a problem. Sat Nav has a problem directing you from TARA if you are heading west, leads you to a no through road. Once you make the mistake once it is OK. Parking at Tara is suitable for 2 smal cars other wise you will need to park in the road mount the path a little.Accomodation excellent all mod cons cleaning material etc. I had no problem with mobile phone signal must have been lucky.Shower and bathing there are no problems. If you are not use to chlorinated water then as the owners suggest run the tap for awhile. Getting hot water can take a time suggest younrun the the tap for a couple of mins and its fine.Theres plenty of information to hand and lots to see and if you fancy a takeaway with free delivery thats easy as well providing your order is above a certain price £12/£15.The bedrooms are adequate but if there are a few ladies you may want to note that only the Master bedroom has large enough mirrors if you are doing your hair although there are smaller ones in each of the other 2 bedroomsWe believe this booking is highly recommended certainly would book againAnn & Chris"

"The location was good, 5 minutes walk from the cliffs. Unfortunately, the cottage was disappointing. The furniture was very old and uncomfortable. The oven took a long time to cook anything, we suggest the microwave be tested for safety and the fridge barely kept things cool. The mattress on the bed and the sofa need replacing and the shower was pitiful. The internet was intermittent and unreliable and although there was Sky, the choice of channels was very disappointing.Thankfully we did not have to put in any money for electricity. (We have never had to pay for electricity before and it would become expensive in colder weather.)The bathroom needed a deep clean and frankly, replacing. It was a long walk to the local amenities but the local shop was well stocked and the food and staff at the Three Bishops pub lovely. Finally, it was extremely irritating to have to drive all the way back through the village to get to the main road, which we could see from our window!"

"Lovely relaxing cottage which is well maintained. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. Although they lived next door they were very respectful. The hot tub was very large, well situated and the owners checked it daily to ensure everything was OK. Bedrooms were well dressed, comfortable and more than adequate. Kitchen was a good size and well appointed. Dinning table easily sits 6 people and in in the kitchen. The lounge has two large good quality leather sofas and a very comfy lazy boy. The cottage is on a private road and as a result the garden was extremely quiet and relaxing - no road noise at all. Accessing many of the Isle of Wight attractions was extremely easy as many are only a handful of miles away. My husband and I have rented many cottages and would thoroughly recommend this one."

"My wife and I have stayed in our fair share of holiday cottages; Rossiter's has to be up there with the best we've been to. We are only a family of 3, but wanted to treat ourselves to a little bit of room whilst away - something which is unfortunately lacking from our current house. Upon arrival, the first two things we were noticed were how spotlessly clean the property was, and just how well equipped it was. Holiday cottages often tend to be under-equipped, with just a few basic kitchen essentials. Rossiter's had everything we could possibly need; it was nice to be somewhere that had sharp knives for a change. Also a quick thanks for the bottle of wine on the first night; it certainly didn't go unappreciated. I'd recommend Rossiter's. I can't actually think of a single negative about it."

"Located very close to a boating marina, the cottage echoes this with its nautical-themed decor, which is tastefully done. There is an attractive ambience to the area created by many of the nearby properties being situated on the waterfront and having boats moored alongside, while High Tide is set in a terrace of similar properties with a footpath and a communal pond to the front and a small garden at the rear. There is ample car parking nearby. There are no shops but there is an all-day pub restaurant just a short walk away at Island Marina Harbour, which is open to the general public. The whole island can be explored easily from High Tide and this is one of its many benefits."
