"Stunning apartment in a perfect location. The apartment is 2 minutes walk from the centre of Bowness but tucked away on a quiet road so you don’t hear any noise from the road or nearby pubs. The apartment has a private drive which could accommodate 2 cars with adjacent visitor parking on a first come first served basis. The apartment is furnished to a high spec and we wanted for nothing whilst we were there. The TV entertainment system was a real benefit. The modern kitchen is also fully equipped and the owners had stocked it with complimentary coffee, Tea, biscuits and sweets and all the necessary washing products, We took our 18 month granddaughter and didn’t have to worry about loading up the car with high chair, cot and changing mat as these were all provided. We would definitely stay at this apartment again and recommend to any family looking for a central location. The only negative which did not affect us was the fact that there are 3 flights of external stairs (there is no lift)so would not suit anyone with walking difficulties."

"Lovely, historic cottage in a beautiful setting. There are amazing views over Windermere and mountains from the grounds and some good views from the cottage. All was very well presented except we were disappointed about the very poor quality, worn out, concave, single room mattress. (There was some recompense from our complaint) The kingsize bed was good quality and we were told it was new to the cottage. Everything else was great, well equipped and nicely presented and warm and cosy. The locked, adjoining door to the next property's hallway, straight from the kitchen, could do with some insulation to prevent drafts and hearing conversation from next door's hallway but people don't linger in the entrance hall. I'd love to stay there again if the single mattress has been replaced. It's a great place to stay. Some people might not like the unmade access road but it was fine for us and had some maintenance done while we were there - clearly it's not neglected."

"Found the apartment in much need of a couple of coats of paint to re vitalise it, shower in main bathroom is very poor, slow and inadequate flow, didn't use it after 1st day. Kitchen dated with cheap noisey slamming doors, which comes regularly from upstairs and downstairs apartments. Doors to wardrobes banging from up and below too, all hours, overall very noisy neighbours, we ain't used to that as we live in detached property. Whlist cooking breakfast we noticed the cutlery was dirty along with other utencils. there are dirty finger marks on all doors and wardrobe doors above handles, cleaners need to do more thorough and detailed clean on change over.light switch for rear shower adjacent kitchen entrance is filthy and wall around it. Front door very rickety and draughty, still doesn't seem safe when double locked, should be upvc as windows."

"Fantastic apartment, amazingly equipped and beautifully appointed. I couldn't quite get the hang of the induction hob but I am sure that was me not the hob! We loved the frothy milk maker and the beds were so comfortable. Amazing view of mountains out of the window by the TV, could do with some furniture on the balcony but we just carried a dining chair outside- no issue. The location was brilliant with Bowness town centre and Windermere lake a short stroll away. You could manage easily using public transport but the 2 parking spaces outside the house were great. Just be aware that there is flight of steps up to the front door which is mentioned on the description. Fantastic lockal walks up to viewpoints above Bowness and to the lake between Bowness and Windermere. We had an amazing holiday. 5adults."

"I loved staying at Beega Apartment - it's perfect for being in the centre of Bowness and so able to get to most of the Lake District (I used the buses). There is a bit of noise in the evening but I didn't find it disturbed me too much - I can imagine it would be more annoying if it was really warm and you wanted the windows opened. The noise was worst at weekends but even then it didn't stop me from sleeping. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. I enjoyed being able to use Freeview on both televisions as well. The heating was very effective when I did use it. I could have perhaps used a clothes horse to dry the clothes I washed while I was there but this is a very minor point. I would happily go back to Beega Apartment and would recommend to any solo traveller or couple."
