"For the price paid and the grading, S20650 was generally a let down. For 3 nights there was 1 toilet roll between 3 adults, no kitchen roll, foil etc. the freezer looked like it hadn't been defrosted since purchase with drawers not even able to slide open without a tug. The bathroom had bits in the bathtub there was even a dead fly on the floor, do look out for the dead flies/insects in the spot lamps in the bathroom. The light on the bathroom mirror wasn't functioning. There is a gap between the bottom of the shower screen to stop the water splashing onto the floor and whilst showering you will have to fight with the screen to stop it swinging into you.NO bath towels for a 4 star graded property. The pictures have been taken in a manner to make you think there is more space, where in reality you would best placed with 2 adults and 2 small children. We also had our 4 month child and missed a waste bin outside where nappies would have gone or even the kitchen waste when we had a full bin.Windows were dirty downstairs, granted a courtyard view can't be changed but they were filthy. This is not a 4 star property and wasn't worth the price paid. Finally, we were waited upon on the day we were due to leave with what appeared to be the cleaning team, we have a 4 month old and timings can change with feeding. AT 10am on the dot they entered the property where a little more compassion for our situation would have been respectful. The cherry on the cake of our visit was complete."

"Wonderful stay at S20838. Absolute dream for those that appreciate the great outdoors. Very dog friendly and views to die for. The cottage is tastefully decorated with a cosy cornish cottage feel. Gina and John have thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We were given clear instructions on how to use the fire in the living room etc and the cottage provide lots of information on places to visit locally, shops etc . We were greeted with a cream tea on arrival which was very thoughtful. Although the garden is very small to the cottage, it is surrounded by at least 6 fields that are free of animals and can be used to walk your dogs. The double bedroom is extremely cosy and duvet extremely warm. One evening we had very high winds and we did not find the cottage drafty at all. If I was to knit pick I would say that the mattress on the double bed is a little squidgy but not a big issue for us at all. We had great weather for October too. Peace and tranquility and although we were attached to a family renting downhouse it was still extremely quite. We loved it and will be returning next year hopefully."

"Beautifully peaceful area - the ultimate 'get away from it all'. There is something very special about the area - a lovely healing energy. It put us back together and we felt very relaxed and stress free after it. Very quiet, tranquil and serene. In saying that lots to see - check out the Hurlers stone circles, Rillaton barrow and the Cheesewring (there is a walk from the farm over the hill, or a gentler, level walk from the Hurlers car park). Perfect for walkers - walks everywhere. Loads of copper mines remains if you are into industrial archaeology. Golitha Falls is well worth a visit. Also only 20 minutes drive to the South Cornish coast, 40 minutes to the North coast. The cottage itself had everything we needed - perfect size for a couple. (also has sofa bed so 3 would be possible). Would highly recommend it."

"Would have been nice to have a little milk and coffee as we arrived late and local restaurant/pub was no longer serving, nearest Asda supermarket is about 10miles away. We left some. We also left toilet roll as only half a role in the cottage. Needs a good deep clean, windows dirty, cobwebs and dust and dog hair on furniture in living area. Hanging basket with weeds and entrance poor. View onto farm yard. Some decent garden furniture would be good and implements for cleaning and cooking on the BBQ. Dog poo in the garden from owners dog which they did remove. Wifi mostly didn’t work and no phone signal in the house. Need to drive/bike to access any ameneties, nothing within a few miles."

"A wonderful, relaxed country break. The setting is very rural, extremely narrow lanes with occasional passing places, beautiful scenery but bear in mind the nearest shop is in St Mawes, a 10 to 15 minute drive away, so don't forget to bring basic provisions! S21184 is well equipped and comfortable in lovely, well kept grounds. The owners, Nicky & Graham, live onsite and gave us some excellent advice on good places to visit. A dog friendly beach is a 10 minute drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long break and the tranquillity of the countryside. We would definitely return to S21184."
