"This is the best self catering accomodation we have stayed in to date. The extras throughout the barn were amazing. Thre double bedrooms all with ensuites, TVs in bedrooms and bathrooms! All modern fittings. Bathrooms very luxurious. Comfortable lounge with another TV! Huge dining table! Kitchen well supplied, ample cooking untensils and plenty of cutlery and crockery. Great views all round. Very secluded spot but only 10 minute walk to nearest pub with very nice food! Looking out of each window you feel very much isolated and so quiet compared to area we live. Bird song and occassional sheep bleating was all you could hear. Owners live next door with thier two dogs. Very friendly and playful dogs. From the barn there are views down to the Holligsworth Lake which has a footpath round it for great walks and cafes at various points. Not far from bigger towns if needed but local village had everything we needed. Would love to go back at some point in the future. Barn is very well equiped throughout. Welcome pack upon arrival was a lovely touch. Plenty of towels etc and laundry room. All in all a great place to stay. Thoroughly recommend."

"Fantastic views all around the property. Good walking in the area & lots to do within a 30 mile radius. It took a while to get used to the 'oily smell' from the classic car collection beneath the loft. Also the electric pump used for the spring water & drainage whilst not noisy takes some getting used to. We would have booked again to return next Year but unfortunately it is unavailable. Some of the roads in the area are very narrow & there are steep inclines so you need to be aware. Hebden Bridge is nearby & we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Town. We visited Haworth during our stay for the 1940s weekend & thoroughly enjoyed it. Owners are very friendly & helpful but do not interfere during your stay."

"Location was beautiful. However, the cottage is only designed for two people. Our son had to use the futon bed in the lounge which was the most uncomfortable futon we have had to use to date. In the lounge there was only one comfortable chair between three of us. On the Wednesday morning we woke to find dog excrement on the path outside our front door which must have been from the proprietors dogs. We found the proprietor to be less than courteous and after arriving at the cottage after a day out she spoke to us like we were naughty school children. We ended up leaving a day earlier than we should have done and were glad to get home!"

"It's safe to say we had a weekend to remember and that was down to this luxurious and stunning property. The owners have clearly put a great deal of thought, time and love into this beautiful home from home. The rooms are extremely spacious and the decor and finish of this property was higher than could have been expected. The view and location were simply perfect, with the property being only a short walk from Hollingworth lake, and close by to local pubs/restaurants. We would all highly recommend this property for a weekend away with friends or a break away with family. We will be very keen to book again in the future."

"Broughton House was absolutely charming and a lovely conversion job has been conducted on the house. The kitchen was VERY well equipped, the best I've ever seen and there was a good selection of books, DVDs and games. The bathroom is small but that's the nature of the house, it was all very pretty. The beds were comfortable, the house warm, and overall we had a wonderful stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and hope we get an opportunity to stay there again. The location is great, very close to town. The key code box meant there was ease of getting in as we arrived late at night."
