I was very pleased with the upstairs living room and outdoor seating area having such a beautiful rural view, really therapeutic. The weather was quite cool that week and I did find the bathroom in particular rather cold, especially at night-time. The owner was very caring and tried to boost the heating once he knew this. The kitchen area is compact but adequate and getting used to the cooker and microwave took some mastering. There are many walking opportunities from the door, which I really valued. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Booked last minute for a short stay and we were happy with our decision. The cottage is in a very quiet location but has two pubs/restaurants within 50m. Top tip: follow the advice to come via Chirk to avoid some typical extremely narrow Welsh roads.
