The Stable View is located in the heart of the beautiful Bowness on Windermere which has a superb selection of shops, restaurants and bars. This ground floor apartment is within a stone built house and offers guests a great level of comfort throughout. There is a living area with patio doors that lead to a private balcony which offers superb views, the kitchen is well-equipped and is open plan with a dining area, there is a double bedroom and a bathroom. This is a perfect location to explore this stunning location within the heart of the Lake District, and the Beatrix Potter Museum is just a short stroll away, or why not jump on a Windermere steamer boat a have a tour of the lake, then a wander through the streets of the beautiful town of Windermere. Shops 1 mile, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Unrestricted free parking on side streets off Lake Road. Exit Bank Road on to Lake Road, and heading towards town, parking maybe available on Beresford Road (advice obtained from Tourist Information).

We loved it here as it was very central & close to all amenities. Very cosy, quirky place. A few bits & bobs needed fixing but nothing major. It was dark when we arrived & we struggled to find the key safe altho it is exactly where they said it was!! The instructions said it is the bottom safe with a number 3 on, but there is only 1 safe on its own & the number 3 is inside the box after its opened. As we couldnt open it at first, we had to ring for instructions but the problem was soon solved. We would definitely stay again

The Stable View is a quirky holiday let, set on a quiet road close to Bowness centre. The flat has various odd angles but that is part of its charm. Virtually everywhere is spotless, which makes the discoloured floor grouting and broken tile in the bathroom something of an anomaly but this voild essily be fixed. Well equipped kitchen with all essential tools, although an additional smaller kitchen knife would be a bonus. Comfy couch in the small but adequate lounge area but the mattress is much too soft. It is a long time since I came across one that collapses so much when sat on. It didn't seem to affect sleeping too much over a short stay but a few more nights might have made a difference. The main drawback is the lack of parking. We found places in a residential a few minutes walk away but in high season there might not be anything as handy. Overall a good base at a decent price but be aware of the need to park elsewhere.

Cosy little place. Nice little cosy place to stay. Great view from the balcony. Not far from the town. Perfect for a weekend away. Dispite the few isues overall we loved it here. Couldn't park the car outside, luckily we did find a spot down a street opposite where we left the car all weekend. There is a carpark close by that charges. Mattres needs changing, it's not very comfortable. Frying pan and tray in oven was still dirty. Checking out was 9am......far too early. No option for a later check out.
