A delightful setting so quiet, peaceful and private in a group of properties.

The pleasure is just starting... The bungalow looks lovely as you approach but inside is even nicer. A very comfortable and well equipped home from home awaited us. Large picture windows makes the interior light and bright. The decor is nice and not at all skimped on. Beautifully laid out with a good size kitchen and lots of pans to self cater. The garden is a beautiful lap around with lots of lawn...the garden furniture offers a place to relax and a place to dine outdoors. The dining set had moss on but a simple request to the owner meant the gardener was asked to pop over and he did and jet washed the winter away successfully leaving us a great spot to dine that very evening. I'd suggest the addition of a large mixing bowl for the serious self cater fans such as we are...but aside from that the kitchen was very well equipped. We took an air fryer and slow cooker with us and there was ample space to use these. Bedrooms were lovely, lots of storage and en-suit bathrooms meant total privacy for both couples in our party and all immaculately clean. Ideally situated within a short drive from the A55 gives access to the main artery of North Wales and equally close is the Llanfair PG station where there is a superb cafe where we enjoyed a beautifully cooked breakfast before we left for home. I would highly recommend this property to those looking for a peaceful out of the way location. Own transport essential as shops and other amenities are too far to walk. We enjoy the beaches and countryside more that tourist attractions so it was perfect for us. Also perfect for those with limited mobility as it's all level access front and back and one bedroom has a low level shower cube for ease of use. Congratulations to the owners for making this a home from home and caring about the client experience.

Our first night was spoiled by a smoke alarm that kept going off.

I reported this to the telephone number Iâd been give. I was told sheâd contact the owner. The alarm was far too high for us to reach and there was no step ladder. Eventually, the answer came back we should go to the neighbouring property and borrow their Â« ladder Â» and remove the battery. Fortunately the neighbours were home but they had no ladder, only a thing with two steps on it. My 6 ft 4 in husband was still nowhere near reaching the offending alarm. I texted the mobile number saying I expected someone first thing next day to sort out this problem. Next morning Zest sent out two young women: they did not know how to open the alarm, had no ladder and when they did eventually open the thing had brought the wrong batteries! Â« Incompetence Â» hardly covers it. They reached the alarm by placing a dining room chair precariously on top of an arm chair and standing on top of it. They asked if they could leave the chairs thus placed right in front of the bedroom door at the top of the stairs and come back later. They did not come back later but I did get a phone call to say they were at the door and no one was answering. Whatâs more, they had called earlier and no one had answered! On this second visit, when I got the phone call, we were out and for the first I have no idea but in any case the door bell didnât work so that would partly explain the lack of response. Secondly, of course, THIS WAS A HOLIDAY and we were there to explore the area not hang all day about because of faulty equipment The chairs remained in their dangerous position until we left. On the plus side, this is a beautiful apartment and apart from a disturbed first night and irritating second day we liked it very much.

We booked this cottage knowing g it looked dated and we were not wrong .

The lounge contained four chairs but no co.fy sofa . The lounge clock did not work . The cooker was pretty awful and we basically could only cook on the hob . There were lots of dishes and cutlery which were also very mismatched and aged . There was a lack of cleaning products for us to use to help clean up at the end of our stay . There was not even any soap for hand washing g although some dish detergent was supplied the cleaning cloth was shocking . I wonder what the owners were thinking of . The fridge freezer was fully gu sectional and very dated ad was just about everything else. A lovely Victorian cottage psinted very nicely but let down by the contents. There were numerous heating appliances which worked to keep the house warm . The key system worked well The parking at the back was very tight but absolutely great as there is a parking problem in the area , unless you want to pay . Bedrooms were warm and cosy the beds comfortable but take your own pillows ... plenty of drawer and hanging space . The bathroom was oh so tired but it all worked . And the shower was simple to use . LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION WAS EVERYTHING just around the corner from the castle with shops and pubs and cafes and restaurants with a bus yo take you further into the island .....

We had a very enjoyable stay and found the property ideal for our four related families: we two grandparents and the families of our three children.

The house has a slightly quirky feel to it and there are plenty of spaces to go when you want to socialise or just be quiet on your own - both indoors and in the grounds. There are lounge areas both upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen is well-equipped and there was plenty of crockery and cutlery for our needs. We actually found that the inaccessibility of the causeway for two hours either side of high tide quite beneficial in that being cut off for a few hours seemed to help bond everyone together. The property does need a bit of TLC, though, and we were surprised at how dusty/dirty some places were, suggesting several months since proper cleaning. There was no arrival pack, a common courtesy with most holiday properties we have rented in the past, and we were surprised to find scant provision of toilet rolls, black rubbish bags, tea towels and dishwasher tablets. There were bright lights situated in the grounds which seemed to be on all night, which is both uneconomical and damaging to wildlife. Although there are three bedrooms upstairs, the only toilet/bathroom upstairs is the en-suite for one of the bedrooms. Despite those criticisms, we would not hesitate to recommend the property for family get-togethers such as ours.

Just had a week staying at Yr Encil and would not hesitate to recommend it.

The detached bungalow is located on a private estate of just 20 other bungalows and is extremely quiet. It's ideally located to travel easily to all the great places to visit on Anglesey. Its well equipped, has spacious gardens and is very comfortably furnished. Beds were comfy and excellent quality bedding provided. En-suite bathrooms are both spacious. The only downside is that's is advertised as dog friendly but it's important to note the garden is not secure at all. There are no gates on the driveway or on the side and your dog can easily get through a gap in the wall into next door Who had to bring our little dog back to us. Fortunately I had packed a dog stake and cable so she was able to let out on her own. I would also suggest taking your own bath towels as the ones provided are quite small. I had an issue with the guttering rattling very loudly all night in the high winds which kept me awake all night so I had to wedge it with a rock to stop that happening. Otherwise an excellent property that will give you a very lovely holiday.
