"A well deserved 5 star rating. Lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need and more. We were an extended family group aged from 9-73 and it suited everyone no matter what age. Lots of local information was provided and the food recommendations were great. From the best fish and chips ever in Portknockie itself, the Rockpool Cafe In Cullen where you have to reserve seats it's so busy to the Galley Restaurant in Whitehills. All were great. We did a 2 hour drive to Channory Point to see dolphins and boy did they put on a show for us and then the next night my daughter saw them from her bedroom window in Seaspray. We loved Seaspray and no better praise than from my grandson who reckons his granny books the best holidays. The cottage is a credit to Fiona and Volker."

"Using tripadvisor to help select a property for our first visit to NE Scotland we are very pleased to report that all the positive reviews of 'Seaspray' Portknockie are totally justified and the comprehensive photographs and details provided are completely accurate. A very well equipped, beautifully presented property with great family history that is proudly cared for by the current owner and we feel privileged to have had use of it. The village is quiet , great location, and has sufficient local facilities not to feel isolated, with easy access to additional services. In the words of of the tripadvisor pug.. 'Book'."

Mrs Irene Stibbs, Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway
"The cottage was ideal for us, it had everything we could possibly need. There were plenty of bathrooms so no queues and the walk in shower in the bedroom downstairs was great. A spacious kitchen with all the necessary equipment. We hope to book again next year."

"Spent a week in this delightful cottage in March. The cottage itself is perfectly equipped with absolutely everything you need. Cottage is beautifully decorated and in an ideal location, we enjoyed several walks to the harbour and trips to fishing villages along the coast."
    Mrs Helen Cartwright, Motherwell, Lanarkshire
"This was our 2nd stay at Seaspray and have booked again for October! The cottage is a real home from home with fixtures and fittings of a high standard. There were 8 of us staying at the cottage and there was plenty of room for everyone. 3 bathrooms is a real bonus! Providing dinner for 12 on New Years Day was easy with plenty of dishes, pots to accommodate. We love the area and have visited Portknockie for years and still haven't been to all the neighbouring places of attraction."
    Mr Alex Shepherd, Plymouth, Devon
"The cottage is in superb order throughout; the kitchen is laid out very well and great for family, underfloor heating, gas central heating and a wood burner in the front room were 'FAB.' I have stayed in lots of 5 star hotels and none can match the bed at Seaspray, almost didn't want to get up. My family and I would happily recommend this very large and spacious cottage to anyone."
Miss Nicola Barnett, South Shields, Tyne and Wear
"The cottage was a beautiful home away from home, spacious with thoughtful and fantastic decor. Excellently placed for distillery tours, dolphin spotting, walking and everything in between."
"A beautiful and comfortable cottage furnished and decorated to a very high standard, the huge kitchen/diner was a superb area for the family to enjoy their meals together . The large bathroom downstairs and the ensuite in the downstairs bedroom great for a big family, there is also a toilet upstairs . The underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathrooms was a joy in the morning . The owners have put their own personal touch to the cottage and have catered for all your needs . The beds are very comfortable and I had the best nights sleep for a long time. We will certainly recommend this cottage to our friends and family ."
"The cottage is very comfortable and the arrangement of bedrooms and bathrooms really suits a larger family group. The cottage is very well equipped and its situation above the harbour and near Cullen beach is great for families with children."
Dr James Murdoch, Peebles, Scottish Borders
"The cottage was excellent. We will probably use the cottage again."
Mr James Laverty, Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire
"A beautiful cottage furnished to a high standard. It was comfortable and cosy with good quality used in the furnishings of the cottage. We have been visiting Portknockie and Cullen for 30 years on holiday and this cottage will be top of our list for our next holiday. We loved the layout of the cottage, the underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathrooms and the large kitchen/dining area that all the family could sit enjoying our meals together. The beds were very comfortable (great sleep). The owners have catered for every need you require on a self catering holiday. Definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family."
"Stayed at seaspray recently with my family 5 adults in all, the cottage was spacious even for 5 adults. It had been recently renovated and was beautifully done, the down stairs bedroom with en suite was perfect for my parents. I especially liked being able to sit in the kitchen and eat as a family, being a bit if a cook the kitchen had everything we needed and more, some rentals you go to you struggle to find a bottle opener! The village was lovely quite small but has a shop and chippy both very nice. I would suggest you hire a car to explore the area as it is well worth it. Over all I cannot recommend this any more it was ideal for us."
    Mrs Rosalin Myers, Darwen,
"Seaspray was definitely one of the best self-catering cottages we have stayed in. It matched the pictures and description perfectly. We liked the homely touches and the attention to detail - the property felt like it was a well-loved place - we felt very much at home there! The location was perfect - just yards away from beautiful cliff top walks, where the views, particularly of the sunsets, were stunning! We will thoroughly recommend the property to friends and family members and we hope to return some time in the future."
Mrs Andrea Etherington, York, East Riding of Yorkshire
"An excellent and comfortable cottage. Ideal location for coastal walks, beaches, fishing and dolphin watching. There were plenty of places to eat nearby."
Mr Darren Wilson, Airdrie, North Lanarkshire
"The accommodation and location were excellent. The cottage had everything you could possibly need. The log burner was really good for colder evenings."
Mr Richard Benjamin, Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire
"Great accommodation in an excellent and picturesque location. Lots of outdoor activities to enjoy, particularly some beautiful beaches and coastal walks. A fantastic place for families with children."
    Andrew K
"This is an outstanding cottage with wonderful charm and character, a real home from home. It is set in a picturesque location, in a coastal fishing village, on the Moray firth. The cottage is spacious, full of character and wonderfully decorated. It has everything you could possibly need! Clean, cosy and with some lovely personal touches, including a book containing information about the history of the cottage - fascinating - an old fisherman's cottage transformed into a contemporary coastal holiday home. The cottage has beautiful views out to sea. Portknockie harbour is quaint and peaceful, and Bow Fiddle Rock is just a few minutes walk from the house. This offered us incredible views and wonderful photo opportunities. We'd recommend getting up early to watch the sunrise behind Bow Fiddle - absolutely stunning! The Moray Coast Trail is a stones throw away and runs for 50 miles along the coast; perfect for cycling, running or walking along. We loved seeing seals from Portessie Bay, Ospreys from the top of the Bin of Cullen and we're looking forward to coming back to see the dolphins! We thoroughly recommend a holiday here!"
Mr Tony Nunn, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk
"We loved everything about the holiday; the cottage was a real home from home in excellent condition. It's a very quiet area but the views are brilliant and it's not far from the beautiful beaches at Cullen Bay. We will be booking a return visit very soon."
"A group of 7 of us (3 adults and 4 children under 10) all stayed at Seaspray during February half term. Actually this was our second visit but the cottage wasn't yet on TripAdvisor to write a review. All I can say is that the cottage is perfect. It is beautifully decorated, contemporary but with a very coastal cottage feel. Spotlessly clean, warm, spacious and well kitted out with everything you could possible need. It also has a wonderful sea view and is located right across the road from the sea. Portknockie is a peaceful village with a lovely harbour and lots of good walks, caves and beaches to explore. There is also a local Spar that is open til 8pm most nights or the Cullen Co-Op is just a couple of minutes drive away. I have to mention the beds! - all of the beds were comfortable ,the bedlinen was soft and clean and it was an absolutely joy to get into bed at the end of the day. Even though the weather was lovely, it was still cold so we spent a lot of time indoors enjoying this cosy cottage with the wood burning fire roaring! We will definitely be back again shortly. Simply perfect and we all have a fantastic time.."

"What a fantastic job the owners have made in renovating this cottage! It is absolutely beautiful and spotless. Beds are very comfy and cottage is warm. The kitchen is huge and definitely has the wow factor. 5 adults and 2 children stayed during our visit and there is plenty of room for all. We have stayed in many cottages in portknokie and this one gets 5 stars!,, We will be back again."
Mrs Helen Cartwright, Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
"The cottage is an outstanding property which the owners have taken great pride in restoring to an exceptional standard. The kitchen has the 'wow factor' and we spent a lot of time in there, cooking, eating & playing cards round the table. We visited Portknockie several times and love the area. We will definitely be back at this cottage. Anyone choosing this cottage will not be disappointed."
