This smart, detached stone cottage is ideally situated close to a pretty harbour and sandy beach, in the village of Findochty on the fabulous north east coast of Scotland. This spacious fisherman's cottage is perfect for a family group, or group of friends, who will appreciate the space within the property, which benefits from two comfortable sitting rooms, one of which has a welcoming electric fire. The kitchen is well equipped, making it easy to prepare tasty home-cooked meals that can be enjoyed in the formal dining room next door. On the upper floor, the generously proportioned bedrooms ensure a comfortable nights sleep for all and at the rear of the cottage is a large and fully enclosed patio area which is a real sun trap and a perfect place to enjoy a barbecue or pre-dinner glass of wine. A short stroll from the cottage takes you down to the pretty harbour, with its colourful array of yachts and a small sandy beach that will be much appreciated by children. Close by you can enjoy a tasty bite to eat at the Admirals Inn, whilst gazing out to sea and admiring a wonderful sunset. The north east coastline has plenty of pretty fishing villages to explore and is home to bottlenose dolphins, which can easily be spotted along with a multitude of other wildlife. There are also some great golf courses nearby and fabulous walks which allow you to fully appreciation the unspoilt beauty of this area. The fishing village of Findochty sits on the edge of the natural harbour known as Crooked Haven. Findochty is used more by leisure sailors than fisherman, whilst the fishing boats have moved down the coast to Buckie. Findochty has a small sheltered beach at Long Head and a pub on the harbour front. With the Moray Coast to explore, with its Whisky Trail, abundance of historic houses and gardens, sparkling golden sands and hospitable inns, this is a superb base from which to enjoy the delightful north east coast of Scotland.

Was very clean apart from a couple of cobwebs found above the bed in the double bedroom and also on ceiling in livingroom. Property spacious and yard ideal for my 2 dogs. Already booked to return next year.

Warm clean house with everything we needed for us and two dogs.Clifftop and harbour walks on the doorstep and secure garden for the dogs.Kitchen with everything and more than you will ever need.Choice of two living rooms to use.We used the one with the brown leather suite.Perfect for a night In front of the telly.Only negative is the back door that seems to have swollen with the rain.Couldnt lock with key had to bolt it.
