Rosieās Retreat is a beautiful Grade II listed town house positioned in an ideal location right in the heart of the historic town of Whitby. It has been refurbished to a very high standard with high quality furnishings and dĆ©cor throughout. It provides the perfect base for couples looking to explore this stunning coastline and the North Yorkshire Moors National park areas. The enclosed garden terrace is a sun trap and therefore the ideal place to do a spot of sunbathing whilst relaxing with a glass of wine. The bustling town centre of Whitby is right on your doorstep with numerous amenities to suit all tastes. It also hosts many events and festivals throughout the year including Sixties weekends, Soul weekends, Goth weekends and many more making Whitby a very popular place to visit. There are also a large selection of pubs, quaint antique and gift shops, the infamous fish and chip shops and three miles of golden sandy beach. There are also several restaurants that have won many awards for excellent cuisine especially if you enjoy fish. The tour bus is a great way to get around and to make sure you donāt miss out on everything Whitby has to offer. You could also take a trip out on one of the pleasure boats where you can enjoy a trip around the harbour and out to sea where you can view Whitby in all its glory. Whitby is surrounded by spectacular scenery of the North York Moors which you can enjoy by taking either the Esk valley train that takes you to Middlesbrough stopping at the pretty villages along the way, or the excellent North York Moor steam train that will take you from Whitby to the lovely market town of Pickering stopping off at Goathland otherwise known as āHeartbeat Countryā. The lovely coastal resorts of Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay are all within close proximity and are well worth a visit.

We loved our stay in this little house and would recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday in this delightful town. Well set out and equipped. The outdoor area is very small and the few plants were sadly neglected but there was nice garden furniture if you wanted to sit out. The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy and comfortable. There is a handy downstairs loo which wasn't mentioned on the property description. Parking in Whitby is very difficult even with the permits provided. We left the car and walked everywhere round the town and twice caught buses to Staithes and to Robin Hoods Bay. Also if you have a dog they're welcome everywhere (except Weatherspoons!)

This is my second time staying here but it is in need of some tlc ..the carpets in hallway and lounge need a good clean and the sofas are grubby with marks on and the coffee table is very stained and marked ..its got everything you need and beds are comfy and a few tweaks rosie retreat would be a ten ..location great ..nice food at the granby pub and little angel pub have good entertainment on ..
