Arriving at the property, step through the historic porch and into the sitting room where you will find a plush corner sofa perfect for snuggling up on with your loved ones while you unwind in front of the TV. From here, make your way into the kitchen to whip up delicious meals for your group; the kitchen is home to a gas oven, a gas hob and all the smaller appliances such as a kettle and a toaster to assist you with your self-catering requirements. Completing the interior of the cottage is a bathroom where you can soak your muscles in the gorgeous roll-top bath and prepare for the day ahead. Take your dining al fresco in the warmer months and savour a glass of wine on the outdoor furniture; here you can soak up the last of the summer sun with your loved ones, or even escape for your morning coffee before the group rises. Give the chef of the group a break from the cooking and head out to one of many eateries in the area. Doorstep walks will take you to the centre of the town where you will find Cowshed Burgers, Antons Café, Bar and Grill, and Mother Hubbard's so there is something for everyone. The fascinating Sea Life rests on the coastline of Scarborough and offers an insight into the life of the creatures of the deep, perfect for animal lovers and younger members of the group. There is an array of walking routes to choose from, whether it be a coastal stroll in the fresh sea air, or a wander through one of the plethora of manicured gardens in the area. Spend an afternoon exploring the Italian gardens which are reachable on foot from the cottage and home to thoughtfully planted flowers and shrubs. From here, venture slightly further down the coast and discover Shuttleworth Gardens and its picturesque ponds. History buffs will be pleased to find an abundance of historical sites within Scarborough and the surrounding towns and villages, from ruins to cathedrals, museums to modern architecture, the area really does host something for everyone. Further afield, take a day trip to the pretty town of Whitby and discover the magnificent Whitby Abbey and golden sandy beach. For a fantastic break in a lively town, choose Rydal Cottage.

The old doors were ill fitting and caused big draughts. We were cold all weekend. There were no blankets etc to wrap around us. The warmest room in the house was bathroom. We didnt use the kitchen at all

It was very dirty in places NOT cleaned well at all awful cobwebs and peeling paper off bedroom ceiling and in the dining room damp there was rubbish in the bin from previous people and the bedding smelt awful not clean . Really unhappy about this as last time was really lovely!!

It was very clean and really well equipped with everything you might need and more . It was close and in walking distance to the seafront . The beds were really comfortable and good bedding . It wasn't the biggest of cottages but great for small family or two couples. We had a lovely welcome pack with coffee tea biscuit that we appreciated Would definitely recommend.
